Finally after months I get to hug my husband for the first time and need all the information I can get on visiting CRC. I have figured out they go by the last two numbers of their CDC number so our visit is Sunday the 18th, but other than that I am lost.
What is the best time to get there to ensure you get a visit because I don't even get off work until 5:30am and it is about 45 minutes from me.
How long are the visits or is their a time limit?
It actually sounds like going to DR in San Quentin is easier at least there I have an appointment and know what time to be there etc. CRC sounds like it is a first come first serve and I just want to ensure I get to finally hug and kiss my husband..
I may have initially posted this in the wrong forum so I am reposting it here as well

Hawks_Lady I hope you had a wonderful visit. I visit my brother there. I hope they told you about the first time you go you can stay for the whole visit and not leave when the second shift comes in. If they didnt tell you then when you go back tell them and see if they will let you visit that day for the whole visitation time. I dont like that they dont get visits on both days which is odd (how does a level 1 prison get less visits than a level 4?) They are strict on clothing too, I wear grey shirts to see my husband at Calipatria, but cant wear them there. One time I wore some pants they felt was too tight and they told me they didnt want the inmates looking at my butt, I told that man they cant look at something I dont have. Anyways im sure you seen how long the lines were, and I hope you didnt hike up that hill to try to go use the bathrooms at that park, because they always seem to be locked when I go. Once again I hope ya visit was wonderful.
NORCO was were I resided for 2 years. I was up the hill at the women's facility. Finally found out what the term "rat hole" meant!! I was on the WAC board and we met regularly with the MAC (men's advisory council) board on a regular basis. Heard a lot about their visiting schedule. There is a lot more of them. 4,000 to our 1,000. But, in some cases, they seem to have it a lot better. When we had out meetings with the warden, she actually listened to the men. When it was our turn she woud brush us off and end the meeting. Well, it's a different warden now. Sad thing is men get about 10x the visitors than women. From my dorm I could see women's visiting and men's visiting. On a Sunday there would be maybe 5 visitors for women and the line for visits to men would be all around the property. The line would start at 6am. visitos filled up the parking lot at the little leage field next door. That's why whenever we had a fund raiser we always donated a portion of the funds to the little league as a thank you. Studys show that when a man goes to prison his "woman" is likely to move closer and start a new, temporary, life near the prison so his family can visit. when a woman goes to prison her, man, is more likely to dump her and forget about her as he finds someone new. Sad, but the visiting room seems to prove it true.

I have been so lucky on my visits at CRC in Norco. I get there an hour early, and yeah there iz line forming with a line of cars up on the hill but it's all worth it. So far I have been real lucky and getting the full visit time. Fridayz are from 12:15pm to 7:15pm. Saturdayz 8:15am to 3:15pm and Sundays 8:15am to 3:15pm. Like that saying goez, the early bird catches the worm. I can't wait to see my baby this coming Friday.
