Yes. I am Meg Hager and the site is real. Here is how it got started. The person who started Business Behind Bars, is an artist that did ten years. The biggest longing she had in prison was having her cards, photo mats, crochet work, etc, on the internet. She just had no-one on the outside who would do it.

She paroled on Sept 13, 2003 and started college days later on Sept 26. She is still in college, and spent the first year in E-Business, a 2-year major at her college. Suzy now has changed to a four degree. She still spends all her free time learning all about network marketing, and now is just simply doing for others what she wished she could of had.

The site Business Behind Bars has a few different goals.
#1 Make prison artists a place to sell art.
#2 Make it possible for inmates to market products they, friends and families already buy themselves...magazines, phone service, and a great variety of products we have arranged to sell. We will be adding more continually.
#3 For those who have done considerable years, provide printscreens of each move we make for them so they can become quite familiar with the functions of the internet before paroling.
#4 Teach how to create sites, so when they parole they can not only walk out to what we have created for them but the ability to write sites of their own. They can get jobs and still do internet marketing on the side.
#5 Provide personal service for those w/o family to do so. Phone calls, records, fafsa apps, etc.
#6 For prisons that allow it, shopping for boxes
#7 Activism, PAC, Pen-Pal service, Family Resources are all things that are being planned.

So are we real. I think we are quite real, and are getting great search engine rankings so far (totally shocked and delighted us) and doing well at getting members. Keep checking the site occassionally, and we will be getting art to be placed on there as soon as we can.
This prisontalk site is remarkable in it's scope, and I always appreciate the chance to talk about what we do. Volunteer at BBB, Meg
