I've never visited any prison before... But I will be going to Ventress for a visit next week. I've been reading on the threads in prison visitation and have read that there are a lot of problems you encounter when you go to visit!! Does anyone have any advice? Is Ventress visiting room as difficult as I've read some of the others are? Help!! I'm freaking out!!!!

breath girl...its not that bad once you get use to it...just go, follow the rules, you will be fine. that's not a person that wasn't scared on the day of the first visit..you'll be fine...didn't you say he sent you the rules? just follow them, don't worry they're not going to eat ya....lol

Since I started the thread I've had my visit (obviously) and it was great... So for any newbies that have come here to read.. It's not so bad, so try not to freak like I did! Just "Do it Afraid" knowing God is with you and all will turn out well. Also, check out my other thread, 1st Visit to Ventres.. Info for Newbies.. Okay, so I go for my second visit this Saturday!!!! ;) I am so totally excited!! Even though we only get one hug and kiss at the beginning and end of each visit, I can not wait to wrap my arms around my man.;)

I hope that things go as well as they did on my first visit! I probably will be nervous, but not as nervous as I was on that first visit! I've told him to get us some tickets for pics!! I can't wait to see him!:D

Our visit went really well... The guards hasseled me about my bellybutton ring this time. For anyone with body jewelry, be sure to remove it before going in to be processed for a visit! I would hate for them to not let someone visit because of something like that. The first visit it was no big deal, but the lady didn't like it so I took it out and put it in the car.

Anyway, other than that it was awesome to see him! The worst part is when I leave, I feel like my heart is breaking into a million pieces. I have cried like a baby both times! I'm sure it will continue to be that way.

InLuv...i've been visiting with Kenny now for over 3 years, I have yet to leave a visit that I didn't tear up, not as bad now as in the beginning. It does get easier to except but its still heartbreaking to leave him too....
