my son is in draper, he will get out 1 year. he yold me that when he gets out of course he will have to reg. But also said he can't live with anyone that has a child ynder the age of 18? does anyone know if that is true? He's in there for statatory,girl was 15 he was 17. but they say rape is rape even tho it was his girlfriend.and of course she wasn't old enough to consent herself,even tho she did. All I got to say is watch out guys. make sure you see id. everything, coz it could happen to anyone.

Dont want to mislead you but as far as I know it depends on a lot of things. What was ordered by the judge and if on probation what the PO says. My son is facing the same thing and I am so worried about it all. He was 19 and the girl was 14. Guys do need to be warned and parents need to keep their daughters educated too! This is ruining many lives and needs to stop.

How many sons are in jail because of a "girlfriend"? My son too is in prison because his girlfriend accused him of raping her. I keep reading threads like these and become angry. When my son is released, he will have to register as a SO. Check with the Court who sentenced your son and see what specifications they put on him upon his release.

ok, got this one for you...my husband is a convicted sex offender here in alabama, the fact is, he can live with minor children that are related to him,(if they are not the vic). brothers,sisters, children and stepchildren and grandchildren.

I have two children, one daughter that is 12, the only way he could live in the same house with her is if we are married, which of course we are...Sex offender laws here are one of the worse there are in the whole US...and they are for LIFE, its a hard thing to deal with..believe me..

In georgia, we have also a stipulation that you cannot live within a certain number of feet of a place that children congregate.
My brother got 10 years in prison for Statutory Rape. I feel your pain.
