my husband has been in prison for 8 mths. at brickeys.His 2 daughters and his son in law,My 2 daughters and 2 son in laws and their kids want to visit him. They sent in their forms months ago and his oldest daughter and my youngest daughter are the only ones to be approved ( they just got approved) it is a long way from texarkana to brickeys and their husbands arnt approved yet. How long does it take to get approved?

It's been a while, but I don't remember it taking more than a few weeks to get approved. I would definitely call and see if you are approved or not before driving all the way there.

thanks,my daughter did call and they said only her and her step sister has been approved so far but she is suppose to call someone else to find out why her husband has'nt been approved.I know my husband is wanting to see someone, He is so far away from us that it is hard even if we all get approved.

My boyfriend is in there and it took me 4 weeks to get approved...but i had to keep calling to make sure I even got on the list! But I finally did! You may have to re-send the forms! Its a 4 hour drive for me to get there, so I kinda know how your feeling! If u have any questions or anything u r more than welcome to PM me!

What is the number we can call to see if we are approved? I sent mine in 4 weeks ago, but we haven't heard anything yet. I thought I had to wait for them to let him know and then he would call me to let me know, but we talk everyday and he hasn't heard anything. If I can call someone I definitely will. . . ..

You can call the visitation clerk at the Unit that your loved one is in. You can find that on the ADC website. The visitation clerk at Cummins was very nice to me when I called to see if Dave had visitation before I went down there a week ago last Sunday. She is there from 9:00 until 4:00, I think.
