Hey folks...

Being a student is something that quite a few of us have in common, so there are a few of us that haven't had the pleasure of posting together yet, so I thought we could have little, mini-intro's here. :)

I'll even go first!

I'm Jenn, 25. I am currently working on getting my BS in Accounting to get ready to sit for the CPA exam and then my Masters in Accounting.

I have already completed a BA in Philosophy with a double major in Communications, a minor in Biology and an emphasis in Chemistry.

That covers it, for the moment, anyway! ;)

My name is Vanessa. I am wrapping up my BA in Psychology this Summer and then heading to SDSU for a 1-year Masters multi-cultural counseling program. It will put me in a position to counsel people with various backgrounds, and I am looking forward to being able to use this experience to be able to relate more with women and men who may be going through a similar experience, someday...

So i was wondering if anyone knew of some classes i could maybe take online cause even when i have to go out of town to work i can travel with a lap top. Something has go to be better than working for a cleaning company fopr the rest of my life i been doing this for 10 years.

Well, unfortunately, reputable schools that offer online degrees can be kinda pricey...

I personally go through Strayer University and I really do like it. It's a bit high, but my financial aid helps TONS!!!

Good luck!

IKEsBabyGIrl, Check with your local community college. I know alot do offer some online classes, you could always try and finish as many online classes as you can to complete your general education requirements for a BS or BA degree, and then transfer to a University or a Online University/College. Apply for financial aid and pell grants, I know there can be a bit of paper work involved but it will all be worth it in the end.

Hey everyone! I just thought I'd stop in and say hi....My name is Sammi and I'm 26, almost 27. I'm starting back to school on June 26th, only I'm going back to school online. It's new to me, so I'm anxious! I'm going to try to finish up my AA degree in Criminal Justice and then work on my bachelors, maybe in Human Services or something of that nature. I'm not 100% sure what I want to do in life just yet, but I figured I would start with what I am interested in the most and go from there. So anyways, good luck to all of you who are going back to school, or starting school later in life. It's great that people are motivated to better themselves!!!

Hi Everyone,
My name is Peggy (SunnyChick), and I am a career student. I enjoy graduate school, but I still don't know what I want to be when I grow up.
I completed my Masters in Education this May, and I am now certified to teach special ed (moderate needs) grades K-8, elementary grades 1-6, English grades 7-12, and educational media specialist for all grades. I also have a Masters In Communication and Library Science, a Juris Doctor (J.D.), a Bachelor's degree in English and in secondary education, and an Associates degree in Liberal Arts. I have almost finished my course work for certification as a Reading Specialist, and I am about a third of the way through my Masters of Art in English Literature. I don't know which degree I'll pursue next, but I'm considering a Doctorate in Library Science or in Education, or perhaps another Masters. It depends on where I end up finding employment, and what they'll pay for.
Incidentally, I was a late bloomer who did not do well until I hit my stride toward the end of my bachelor's degree. I returned to college as an older student, after marrying and having my family. I would tell anyone who is thinking of returning to school, don't hesitate. Go for it.

 Hey All,
Well, I'm a graduating senior at CSULB. I am a Latina woman who doesn't forget where I come from and doesn't lose sight of where I am going. I believe that the knowledge sought out through educations is something that cannot be taken away from you. I am finishing my Bachelors in Psychology with a Minor degree in Sociology.

I m currently applying to Graduate school. Hopefully I will be entering Doctorate or Non-Terminal Masters program next fall. I am currently looking to intern in the psychological field. I have a focus in Counseling Psychology and/or Psychology of Addiction.

I began college in 1997 and will be graduating 2007 it took me ten long hard years. I am familiar with having to work, manage familial obligations, as well as school responsibilities. If anyone needs help, advice, guidance, just let me know. I make it a point to give back to the community. 1luv~
