my husband called me tonight and told me that the warden finally approved for me to come and visit again. he told him after we got married that i would have to wait 6 months before i could be added. now all of a sudden I'm approved, go figure. I'm praying that they get around to the difficult task of adding my name to his visiting list (again) before 415 tomorrow, so i can go visit this weekend. Im so excited! i cant wait to see my baby.

wait 6 months??? that's just crazy...how hard it is to open up the computer and changed your last name??? UGH......well that's the ODOC for you!!! I'm so happy it didn't take that long.......enjoy your visit!!!!

thanks again everyone.. when i called up there at 3 pm i was approved, and his wonderful sweet caring (yea right) case manager said i guess you will be seeing him this weekend after all. Now that doesnt mean that adding my name didnt just slip his mind, of course i will call up there in the morning and see if i am really on his list or not. if not they have a whole week to do gurrrr im not going to complain.

Well everything didnt work out all right, i called up to the prison this morning and was told i am not on his visiting list. he called and told me to call a LT. in the morning and ask him why i havent been placed on his list, since the warden approved me. :(

It is so sad that they don't understand what it is like for us to want to see our loved ones and them making the simple effort of changing your last name would allow you to do so. Or maybe they do know and just don't care. I don't know and I don't pretend to know.

But hey, you got approved earlier than you thought you would, right? Hopefully next weekend!!

I'm with Michelle it sucks but hopefully by next weekend they'll have you on-- at least you didnt have to make the trip to be turned down- that's an even bigger slap in the face!

Not only was i added to his visiting list but I got to see him today. 2 hours no kids, wasn't a lot of people it was wonderful. Thanks to all of you that kept us in your prayers.
