Has anyone heard from their loved one at Calipatria?:( My fiancee is in C5 and I haven't heard from him since the riot:angry: I was just wondering if anyone else was having the same problem:confused:

i just wrote my friend about 3 weeks ago and he still has not wrote me back but his aunt did get a letter from him im wondering maybe he never got my mail

I heard from my husband once since the riot. He didn't say much about the lock down. I called the mailroom on Friday and she said on regular mail they are behind like 7 days and as for packages larger than regular envelopes (such as paper) they are behind like 3 weeks. Hope this helps.

C5 is where a large portion of the incident transpired. Therefore, many of the involved inmates (or inmates who were not in their cells at the time of the incident) were relocated or placed into Administrative Segregation in Building A5. You may wish to call their records dept and do a housing check on your gentleman.:thumbsup:

Thank you to everyone for all the information, I am new to all of this and not too sure how the system works. :( So I greatly appericiate it:thumbsup:. Although I do have another question:confused:, I have been calling the prison # to see if my fiancee is in Ad Seg and/or if he was hurt and left a few messages on someone's voice mail but still have gotten no response. Is there some other way I can get in contact with someone to get the information I need?

Sinnerslady, try calling Lt. Madden in the Warden's office. 760-348-700 ext. 5000 he may be of some help. For those whose men are stating that they have not received mail also call him and complain.

Mrskaram, Thanks for the info :thumbsup:, someone finally returned my call today! My fiancee is okay but in the Hole :angry: .. But I will definetly call the Warden first thing tomorrow morning and complain about the slow response to retun my phone call and our loved ones not receiveing mail :mad:

We heard from our son yesterday. He doesn't say much about the lock down over the phone, says he can't. He keeps insisting that we can send him a quarterly package (Access securepak very good reasonable company) but I contact them on the phone every day and they say that the warden's office called them and said nothing can come. Of course my son doesn't believe me, says there is a sign posted that we can and that others have recieve stuff. Told him it had to be sent before lock down. This is his first time in prison (and last we pray) he has been in trouble the past few years (in county jail) and this time the real thing. He is a meth addict and we are trying to find help for him when he comes home. He has actually said he will do something just pray he will. He is suppose to get out next year (if he stays out of any more trouble) He is in the level 1 yard (we think) and says that he has been getting meals ready for the other yards. We have been lucky to get phone calls and letters but he says very little (almost nothing) about the lock down cituation. SInce this is his first time he really doesn't know what is happening or going to happen except from his "jail house lawyers) info. I pray every night for the safety of all of them and that this lock down ends soon.

My husband was in the hole when the lockdown first happen, I was getting letters getting cursed out because he didnt know they was on lockdown and he thought I was just not visiting him. So I figure the hole got to be mighty full about right now and alot of us going to be fighting for the few appointments they have for those in the hole,trust me im calling everyday trying to be on the list for the first week they have visits again.So I just want to say I apologize now if I take someone spot, I love yall though (lol) No but seriously I hope we all get to see our loved ones real soon. Im praying for you all.

I heard about that 2006 date too, but when I called for myself I was told that wasnt true. Who knows that they got planned, I just pray it is all over soon. They are still on lockdown but getting visits, well at least most of them. Those in the hole are not getting no visits, everyone except hispanics on A, B, and D yard get contact visits. Hispanics on those yards have non contact visits by appointment behind glass for a hour. Everyone except hispanics on C yard can get non contact visits by appointment as well, and no visits for hispanics at all on that yard. It also goes by the last two numbers on their cdc # on which day you can go. The past two weekends was 00-49 on Saturday and 50-99 on Sunday, but I would call the 800 number to check if they changed it before you go. I went today and it was cool, processing only took a couple of minutes.

hi i have been in prison and i know what goes on with the mail.If he has an open case chances are they probobly took the mail to look for evidence and he will never get it.The same happened to me 1 year ago in Georgia.Sometimes people also dont get enogh time to write i know it sounds dumb because inmates are suppose to have all the time in the world but they dont other things go on and its part of their everyday life whyll being in there.The best thing is to keep wrighting and if no responce still then write the warden of the prison.If they are holding his mail they will never admit to it but they will stop after being notifyed. thats all i can say

my son is in Calipatria and has got himself in trouble. He was on the lower level doing work. He got one 115 and just received a letter from him and he got 2 more. A Liutenant came to his cell and told him they dropped one admininistratvie 115 but he still has 3 and not sure what will happen. He is on C yard. Can anyone give me any help understanding this. He is not sure what will happen. He seems to get himself into trouble inside, is he trying to be tough because it is his first (any only) time in prison and trying to prove something? What do I say to him? HELP ME PLEASE

Bahmom, I know how you feel my fiance has been in prison since '98 and seems to still have to prove something and somehow always seems to get into trouble. I know he has said that since he got into "C" yard it's been nothing but trouble..We well never know or completely understnd what they go through in there but just let him know that you love him (which I am sure you do ) and tell him just to have faith and stay strong.. I know that may not help much or give much comfort but it's all the advice I have. That's what I tell my fiance` but he keeps telling me he's gotta do what he's gotta do to survive even if he does get a little more time added. Sorry I don't have better advice.
