View Full Version : How will you know if someone is ready to be released exinsystem 05-09-2003, 11:14 AM Can anyone tell me if the MDOC will let the family know or the inmate know when they will be letting someone out on early release:confused: lulu 05-09-2003, 11:28 AM I know here in Tx they dont, unless they are coming out on parole, not sure about there though,. Some one will be here to answer this for you mabear 05-09-2003, 11:57 AM Are they paroling out or maxing? The MDOC lets the inmate know. They only contact family if the family asked to be notified of pending release or if they are paroling to the family then the PO officer contacts the family. exinsystem 05-09-2003, 12:48 PM They are doing alot of early releases at bellamy creek and he is within a year of his erd, I didn't know the family could ask for notification. How does it work if he gets released early and he comes to me I'm his girlfriend and can I ask to be notified, thanks for the help. mrsdragoness 05-09-2003, 09:28 PM AS far as I know, they only notify the inmate. mrs. d rustydreams 05-09-2003, 10:01 PM http://www.state.mi.us/mdoc/asp/otis2.html SHows the earliest release date. Does that help? mabear 05-09-2003, 11:03 PM Is he paroling to your house? I know the PO officer came to my house 2 months before and I have a friend who when her son came out it was about the same amount of time. The unfortunate part of notification request is that you have to be a victim or afraid for your safety. I have one friend coming out in June and he got a 3 month notice but others I know of only got about a month. It's so crazy right now I'm just glad I don't have to keep track of the mess they got going. exinsystem 05-10-2003, 01:19 AM No I have no reason to be afraid of him he has always been very good to me his only problem is when he drinks he does really stupid stuff like picking up the phone and telling a store if the don't cash his check he'll blow them up.His lawyer siad she can't understand how they managed to do all of this to him. He just can't drink, and hasn't for a very long time.He 's in prison because they siad he didn't get a job fast enough. As far as parolling to my house this is his home to I've tried to ask questions of Bellamy Creek all they do is kinda laugh it off.It just doesn't make sense that they parol people who have done alot worse than him witchlinblue 05-12-2003, 07:00 PM they (the inmate) gets a letter saying no fixed date and a date (yeah I know that doesnt make sense). That is how they do it. Witchlin exinsystem 05-12-2003, 11:24 PM I've been wondering about this, they've had to put inmates in gyms and really any building that they can secure just because they have no room for them due to overcrowding, it makes no sense to keep someone in for something as stupid as not getting a job fast enough, but his judge isn't called bloody mary for nothing I guess the only thing is it's not just costing him it's costing us all, I think she likes to make examples out of some people not to mention she wanted to look good in front of the camera, she was going to be on the news |
