Has anyone participated in Family Day at MCIH? Your loved one has to have been there for 6 months or more (we couldn't participate), the guys had to pay $5.00 and you were allowed to visit 9-2. Each section of the institution goes on a different day and regular visits aren't allowed during the Family Day visits. The following are days for Family Day visits, remember regular visits will not be allowed on these days:

September 10 and 11
September 24 and 25
October 8 and 9

We haven't got to participate in a Family Day yet. Does everyone get one once they're been somewhere for 6 months or is it only for certain people? What are the family days like at MCI-H?

My husband and I didn't participate, he hasn't been there long enough. Some of the people who have participated told me that it starts at 9 a.m and you are allowed to stay until about 2 or 3 in the afternoon. They have games for the kids and it's held in the gym not the regular visiting room. Each institution in Hagerstown was supposed to participate but I believe it is during different months, you may want to ask about it if they haven't already had one.

I had family day with my son and he has been there for 2 years but I dont remember them having one last year. They need to have them more often. Sorry you couldnt go
