Thanks in advance God Bless Tazsvt Coffeewood is one of the nicer places I've had to visit. Everyone can visit any day they have it (not by name or # or anything) as long as you don't go over your allotted monthly limit. You probably won't get more than the hour. They fill up early, so get there at least half hour before they open the lobby (which is, if I remember 830). Go up to the desk and get a visiting card and fill it out. We used to just lay them there if no one was at the desk yet. I think they got lockers just as hubby left there. There is a change machine in the lobby. Go straight to the food and get what you want while you're waiting for you guy. It sells out FAST, but the vending guy used to fill it every visiting day, not just once a week which was good. Most of the CO's are really decent. DO follow basic dress codes though. I have seen them turn away on occasion. You can carry your money in any clear bad (makeup bag or zip lock). No "key less" keys (the electronic key fob). One key to the car only unless you put everything in a locker. Ummmm...nothing else I can think of right now. Oh except when it warms up you can go outside to visit. QQin4meboo 03-05-2006, 01:05 PM LOL u wouldnt believe this , but the vending food is excellent , im married to ** da snackman**and every holiday , special visit ect , me and my kids are without daddy so everyone has good fresh food !!!! Tazsvt 03-08-2006, 07:12 PM Thanks for the info and I'm going to bring a clear make-up bag. How much does the food cost? I planned on getting there about 8am. I hope I get longer than an hour. I havent had a hug in a year from him. I seen him every week but it was behind glass. I am really looking forward to it thats for sure and so is he. I read the rules so I think jeans and a sweatshirt should be fine. I'm to old to be showing any flesh. I'd scare them and they would probably not let me in (ha ha) anyway thanks again for the help. I'm new at all of this God Bless Tazsvt Daveswife 03-09-2006, 03:20 PM LOL u wouldnt believe this , but the vending food is excellent , im married to ** da snackman**and every holiday , special visit ect , me and my kids are without daddy so everyone has good fresh food !!!! Well thank him for us. LOL. It actually was the best vending food I've had. And there was always a good selection. Man I hope mine goes back to Coffeewood. LOL. Taz...depending on how much you'll both eat and drink...it can get expensive. If I remember, the sandwiches were up to $3 or $3.25 for the bigger ones. Pizzas were a couple bucks and snacks are pretty average price wise. I would bring the $20 and see how much you spend. He's gonna miss breakfast for a morning visit and they only feed them twice a day on Sat and Sun, so if he's like my hubby he'll fill up during the visit. That first hug and kiss are like heaven! Enjoy them!!!! Ifantisiz 01-16-2007, 12:19 AM I go to Coffeewood on the odd days, what about you. I will be going for the next 4 years (shorter if we are blessed) MsCarr 08-24-2007, 09:12 PM Hi my boyfriend is currently at Coffeewood Correctional. He has even days and I try to go as much as possible. The vending machines have a good variety of food and the other inmates there are also very nice. Same as certain c/o's but other than that anyone who else has an even day to visit at Coffeewood Correctional Center, let me know. I miss you "Pookie" =):) |
