Here we are the 1st of September.....as I sit here and write this thread...of course my thoughts are with each and everyone of you, hoping things are going well for all of you and your loved ones.

But tonight my heart is heavy and my thoughts and prayers are with all of the people affected by Hurricane Katrina.:( I cannot imagine or would I ever want to experience what has become a reality for so many people. It breaks my heart each and every time I turn the news on.

I can only feel blessed to have all that I do...although it may not be much to others.....I have my family, my job, my friends, my home, food for my family. Everything that I take for granted.....I have a greater appreciation for tonite.

As we start this new month....please keep those who are less fortunate in your thoughts and prayers.

I hope that all of you are doing well and your loved are in good spirits.

Hello everyone. I can't stop watching the coverage of New Orleans. I hope eveyone will donate something. My Spanish teacher is waiving the fees for her classes next week and encouraging her students to send it to the victims.

My penpals are all doing well and waiting to be transferred any minute. I am particularly enjoying lots of "girltalk" with my first lady penpal.

Have a good Labor Day weekend. I'll be manning a booth for a Native American nonprofit at a balloon festival.

Hello, everyone. I haven't had much time to get on lately either. I am working on my Masters Degree, working full-time (teaching), and trying to keep my 4 kids and house in one piece. My husband's earliest release is now 16 months away!
I will continue to pray for the people affected by the Hurricane.

Yvonne~sounds like you have your hands full....working towards a Masters, that is awesome! Hang in there...I'm sure with 4 children a full time job and school it's not a easy task...kudos to you!

Your welcome...seriously...how you can manage a fulltime job....be a single parent and go to school is beyond me...I just don't see how you do it...but I admire you!

Staffing is far from good at the Arizona prisons and we bitch a lot, but when I turn on the news and see those officers AND inmates sitting on that stretch of freeway, my lot could be far worse. Myself and coworkers are doing what we can toward the relief effort................. God bless all who try..............

Hello to all of our Arizona members! :wave: Hope everyone is doing well and enjoying their 3 day weekend! I love the holiday weekends because I get an extra visit with Dale. :D We got to visit yesterday and we have the holiday visit tomorrow. :) :yay:

Hi, checking in, for the first time. I am doing well, finally got to visit with my son on Saturday, it was so great being able to hug him and talk to him face to face. He is doing well. I am hoping that I can bring his 4 year old daughter next month. He misses her so, even had her name tatooed on his chest when he was in Texas.

As, all of us we are blessed and very thankful for what we have. I too am heartbroken over the hurricane diaster. My heartbreaks for all those who have suffered so much. We will never understand the pain and suffering these people are going through. God Bless them and us all.

Hmmmm....what's new with me? Right now I have no air conditioning in my house, something happened so I tried flipping the breakers, and uh oh, whatever I have done I messed up because my fridge is no longer running and several of my appliances have also stopped working. I couldn't get my computer to work so finally this morning I got it up and running again.

I have no idea what I've done....besides being really hot, everything else is great, I'll be talking to Mikey tonight. Still have no idea when I will be going for a visit, hopefully soon!

I am breathing a sigh of relief that my pal in Newton is OK. I do wonder about the plumbing since it malfunction everytime it rains. It prompted a nice phone call from his sister and that was a nice surprise.

How's everyone? I hope all of you are safe and well and getting bye ok. As for me....well like all of you, missin' my honee something awful. I went to the Home Show at the fair grounds yesterday. Boy was it hot. But I need work done on my pool and landscape soon so I figured I'd go, look around and collect business cards so when I start calling for estimates I'd have the names already. Then there was the Indian Fry bread there.....yummmmy. My girlfriend and I split one so only half the pounds will be gained from it! Hehehe.

Dale'sforever-- I feel like I'm doin' double time with you gal! (2009 club) But I don't mind. You always have good things to say. How's school coming? I will be done with school and have my RN this coming May. I can't wait!! I am VERY ready to be done, but at the same time scared to be out there on my own! :o Yum...the fry bread sounds good! :p Just think, it's less than 2 months before you get to see your honey again! :yay:

Dale'sforever---- geeee I wish I'd have know that was where you were at! At least we could have said hi and maybe hugged or somethin. What a bummer. Well May is just around the corner and you'll be all done. That is so great! Do you know yet where you'll be working when you finish school? Yes, 8 more weeks til I get to see my babee again. The waiting between visits is sooooo hard. Thank goodness I am busy for the most part. But it's still hard. Well we all know it's hard no matter, right?

hey everyone! :wave: I have missed you all! I have barely been on PTO lately because I have been one busy girl. I have had so much homework lately and have been at the computer for hours every night, so when im finally done I dont have time to do fun things like post on PTO. :cry: but oh well, one day in 100 years :o when I have my degree, it will all be worth it! :rolleyes: LOL.

We are selling our current house and building a new one, so that is very very exciting! :dance: I cant wait to move to the new one! :D I wish my baby were here with me to do this, but he will be soon. I saw him this past weekend and he is doing good, I love him so much! :heart: :blush:

anyways, the only reason i am able to post now is because I cant do my homework, i am installing the software needed for my class and its taking *4ever*!

The district I work for has fall break for the next 2 weeks! :yay: :dance: :hifive: WOO-HOO!!!!
you all will see me around PTO a whole lot more for the next 2 weeks! :p
