CURE will try and help the families with carpool info, But we will only be able to send out the messages like this one and if it is something you would like to do then contact the person directly.

I can't do anything else at this time as during the month of Sept. I will be in school as a student 7 Days aweek.

Subject: Car-pooling connections for those who want to share expenses visiting incarcerated loved ones.....

I live off HWY 3 between Seminole & Shawnee. I drive to Lawton - 142 miles one way.

I'm going to have to reduce my visits to every other month if I cannot find someone to car pool with.

My husband's heart blew up two years ago. He literally has only 1/2 a heart. Time is not our friend. I do not want to have to reduce my visits.

Is there anyone willing to split expenses and would like to ride to Lawton & back with me?

Paul & I get 6-hour visits except on holidays. Holidays are 4 hour visits.

Please record my email. You never know what tomorrow may bring.

Non-smoker: Patricia McFarland smiles@mbo.net

I am going to Lawton this Sunday AM, staying at the Best Western Sunday night, and returning Monday afternoon. If you can arrange a motel stay or already have and want to car-pool, email me with car-pooling
on the subject line.

Thank you....
Blessings,
Patricia (Trish) McFarland

With the price of gas and as unsure as all that is right now it might be good if some of us living in the same places that going to the same places can! I know as it stands I'm grounded at home until at least the 17th and then it's still dependent on the gas situation. So anyone in the Tulsa area going to McAlester interested pm me and let me know. I do have a focus that get's good mileage but heck two days ago it went from about $25 to fill the thing to $50! ahhhhhh I don't smoke and my car has no ashtrays but if you bring a pop can and don't chain all the way there and back I wouldnt deny you a cig!
- I realize there are three facilities all right there and I don't know if you can drop off and pick up or if we would all have to be going to the same one-- which would be the major problem. Does anyone else know? Anyway we can find all that out, but it may solve some of our visitation problems-- I for one just can't swing it every other weekend like I normally do at the rate things are going.
