hello ladies, I am posting this for my friend, her man just got to ironwood today, so she has tons of questions. How long does it take oironwood to get the visiting file from the place where he was in reception at? or do you have to re apply? also, what time does visiting start and do you have to line up, if so what time? how is the visiting rooms? he is on level 3... also how long is the drive from LA...
if anyone can reply she would so appreciate it... :)

Not sure about if reception centers have the same visiting slip as thoses ones so i couldnt answer that one. The time from LA to there is about 3 hours give or take 15 minutes depending where in LA. Ironwood is in the middle timbuck too (Desert) and extremely hot. theres nothing out there but Bugs and more bugs. Ironwood goes by numbers, so time just depends on you really. Visiting starts at 900am ends at 330 "supposedly" somehow there time is always alot faster then everyone elses, but then again depends on the yard! the visiting room is okay. Bugs, but okay. The air is always on, the tables are preschool height (up to your knees) with 4 chairs surrounding you. one kiss and hug before and then after. 30 dollars max per adult and 10 dollars per child. singles quarters only. they have a change machine inside, but its always crowded and sometimes not working; best bet go to the bank and get your change there. I believe thats it. no underwire bras, cant wear blue, white (solids) has to have a print on it. no backless shoes etc. Oh yes some of the CO"S arent to kosher...

hi there well i went to see my son went he got to ironwood didnt have to get a new visiting form i use the same one that i did in chino and still useing the same one he been in 7yr so i dont think she got to do other one call the prison frist to fine out nice having you herre with us all from ironwood.hope this helps

HI KALI GIRL WELL IT TAKES ABOUT A FEW WEEKS FOR HIM TO BE ABLE TO TALK TO HIM IT TAKES LIKE 1WEEK 1/2 I THINK AND ABOUT VISIT YOU COULD VISIT HIM EVEN DO HE IS ON THE RECEPTION BUT IT IS ONLY GLASS VISIT NOT CONTACT AND I BELIEF ITS FOR TWO HOURS AND YES YOU ARE ABLE TO WEAR BLACK JEANS.

since he got transferred it normally takes a few weeks, to get classified thats is level 1.2.3.4.5 and for him to get a yard. when your unclassified its 2 hours per weekend for visitation. once he gets classified you get normal contact visits. yes your allowed to wear black jeans and such just no blue or green. as far as the length is concerned depends if on you. with glass you make an appointment and regular visitation depends on you.
