I have been getting quite regular letters from my man (in SHU) but every letter said he hadn’t heard from me for ages, I always send at least 5 letters a week.
Now because I’m from London and work pay the postage I use Swift Air so I know 9 times out of 10 its not my end.
Anyway I get a call from his brother and he hasn’t received anything from him which is very unusual except for a recent letter saying ‘where are you, are you missing in action’ his brother told me he had been writing.
Anyone else feel they’re holding the post again there?

Maybe he has gotten mail restriction just recently. You might have someone call up to the Prison and ask for the mailroom and just ask them if they might be able to tell you if he's on restriction. If he is, that means no mail in to him and no mail out either. Just a thought. I hope you get this solved soon!!

Gosh Joanna I'm really sorry for you and you man !!! This is so awful and unfair, especially when we live so far and have nothing but mail to keep in touch !!! It must be horrible for both you and your man !!! :(
I do hope things will straighten up !!!
All the best

Thanks Diane and Phil,
I seem to be receiving his, but he doesnt seem to be getting any of ours.
Its just so fustrating, for someone in the SHU what else can they possibly take away from him.
Im going to take your advice Diane and try and give them a ring, Im just worried they will not take kindly to me phoning.
Hi Joanna, I write my son Richard all the time as you know, recently I have noticed that some of my mail to him has taken up to three weeks for him to receive. Sometimes the mail room is POed when they get more than on letter at a time for any one inmate. Richard tells me to mail things a few days apart so they don't all get there the same day. Love Barbara

Thanks Barbara,
Its nice to know he was concerned that I hadnt written I must admit but I dont want him to go through it, him and your son Richard have enough to deal with!!
Well looks like its a general thing then
