My girlfriend has to turn herself in to the County Jail in Florida.
Can anyone tell her what to expect. Should she wear anything special or will they take it away when she gets there anyhow?

She is 21 & going in on drug offense for 1 year.

Sorry to hear that deejay. I can't help you with a lot, but as far as I know, she'll have to wear the prison clothes when she comes in,and they will take away all the jewelry she has on her. She'll get it back when she gets out. But maybe it's a good idea to not wear any jewelry at all when going in?

ABSOLUTELY NO JEWELRY... THIS IS A GOOD WAY OF GETTING MUGGED IN PRISON.... SHE CAN HAVE A WATCH (CHEAP ONE) NO CLOTHES... THEY WILL BE SUPPLIED.

WHEN SHE GETS TO PRISON, SHE WILL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO PURCHASE TOILETRIES.

DEE JAY - I am also in Florida. No matter what she wears, they will take it and put it into a "bag" of personal property for her next of kin, or whoever she delegates to pick up for her once she goes on to the prison level. They will give her a jumpsuit to wear and shoes. I'm not sure about the underclothes. The only jewelry they are allowed to keep is wedding rings.

They give them everything else that they need including toothbrushes, toothpaste and other hygiene articles as needed.

Let me know what county she is in and maybe I can be of more assistance.
