View Full Version : How can we boost our Idaho PTO membership
Our Idaho forum has always been a quite one and in some ways that is a good thing. Compared to some other states Idahos prison system is a lot smaller and a lot quieter. For that I am happy, but I would like to see more members in the Idaho forum.
So my questions are 1) What can we do to reach out to more members and 2) what other topics would be useful in the Idaho forum

babygirl350 08-29-2005, 07:33 PM Perhaps you could get some advice from mrsd. Either the members are here or they aren't. I don't think alot of members stay in their own forum for the most part unless they are seeking information directly about a particular prison or jail in that particular state.
We have a reasonable amount of members from Kentucky, but not much posting go on in the Kentucky forum. Only when they want information directly relating to Kentucky.

Well, I think it's a good thing we don't have the whole craze some state forums have :D what we could do is try to get more members in order to make this forum more active. I invited a lady who gave me a ride from the prison to the hotel. I gave her the website address and everything but I think she forgot, which makes sense...she was having some personal problems and one of them was trying to get clean:(
Should we post flyers? :D

Or maybe a contest in this forum. A new member contest. You know, refer a friend... they have to post or be an active member for at least a month, after 30 days whoever has the most member referrals gets some kind of prize. Something like that.
What do you think? Prize could just be a button that says 'member of the month' most members brought in in Sept.05 or something. Like the ones we get for donating, winning games, etc.

I am NOT Robert Downey Jr., I am actually married to an inmate in the Oregon system, but he's at SRCI in Ontario so I plan to be moving closer. I decided I would like to get involved with ya'll here because if I'm going to be living in Idaho I will need a new support system. I'm glad you are all here and I'll try to check in often, especially to let you know if I become someone's neighbor. I'll probably live in Payette or Fruitland (somewhere near Boise).
