Hi, I was wondering if anybody could please give me some info on Centinela prison, I have a friend there, and i was wondering how the visiting and mail situtaion is in there? Any help will be appreciated, or anything else that you would like to throw in. :)

My husband just got transferred to Centinela at the beginning of August. He hates it. I haven't been up to see him yet because I recently delivered our son but I do know that the mail is extremely slow. The letters and pictures I sent him from 1 1/2 wks ago still haven't gotten to him. When he was at a different prison he would get my letters within 3 days from when they were sent. It is completely different at Centinela.

Centinela Is Right In The Middle Of Nowhere Smack In The Middle Of The Desert. Its Very Hot !!!the C.o. Sometimes They Treat You Like You Are The Inmate. Very Rude. Right Now D Yard Is On Locked Down For Hispanics And Blacks ,mails Is Very Slow And I Mean Slow.mail Can Sometimes Take 3 Weeks. Not Mention If You Send Them A Package That Takes Two Months For Them To Get It. If You Ask Me I Think That Their System Needs A Lil Over Haul.

Centinela is a very difficult place in order to get by pass B line you have to look like a slob (if you look cute forget it...) but the good thing I could say Lately there has not been any females in the front and the men are pretty good about what you wear, but if you see any females CO there be careful carry extra clothes with you:thumbsup: about the mail it all depens if they are in lockdown it takes a while for them to get probably a week or so,, i go there every weekend and let me tell you if I did not love my man I would not go there, But over all you get use to it after a while good luck if you go make sure to have your extra outfit and get ready to be out in the sun any other info you need just pm me oh one more thing try to make in by 9:30 or 10:00 am that way you can have your full visit cause they will cancel your visit if your one of the first ones there first come first go basis

good luck i hate this place i went there for about 2 yrs and for 2 yrs them co gave me hell i was just one of the ones that was there every weekend and i think they hated that belive me they knew me by first name and who i was visted they always said hear to visit ulloa again and they always had somthing to say about my clothes one weekend it was ok and a couple of weekends later it was showing to much mine was on c yard and guest what they always sat us in the same spot besides all that take extra clothes and just be nice even if they seem to mess with u

I had to change my clthes very time i went up but since they took 2 of the female CO out of there its been pretty cool.... No more stress about B line
