If anyone else is waiting to hear status on visits for C yard, I finally got a hold of Mr. Muniz this morning.
Basically, he told me they are still searching C yard, with 2 buildings left to go; once that is done, they will do the interviews (my guy did send me a letter i got yesterday from the weekend in which he said they were searching his building that day) and once that is done, they will do the threat assessment and then make the visiting decision.
So it looks like realisitcally we are looking at September 10; thought he said it was possible the first weekend in September would work out but doubtful.
He also explained a little about the outside agency investigating SVSP; went into the shortage of staff they have right now and how it will still be a while before our guys are allowed program and phone since taking them off cuff status opens a threat to the cops. . . .
basically, he just re iterated the shortage of staff; they dont like them to be on lockdown either because it makes the inmates mad; the staff they do have is also occupied with the outside assessment and some *i forgot the word he used* training they are doing, etc.
Long story short, for anyone wanting to visit C yard, looks like we have about 2 weeks left. . . . and for everyone, probably a while down the road before they get phone calls again. . . .
