The reason I ask is this, my fiance is high security and this is a medium facility.In order to keep them seperate from the medium guys his whole unit was put in the SHU until they can be transferred. They were told this would be about 2 weeks, well that was on May 12. I am flying to visit him in November and now the visits are by appt. only. I went down to see him in July also and of course no pictures because they dont have that set up for the high security guys. I dont think its right that they have to sit in the SHU losing all their priviledges because they are on "holdover status" (as it says in the letter from the warden) waiting to see where they are going to be moved to. Is there anyone else out there with a loved one thats there, or knows anything about this, or any suggestions for me. Well my point of view on this matter is that they need to make some one in High to take pictures just as well. Now for as the appt. visitation.. that sounds crazy. Is the place not big enough to divide them up. I think that would work if it is. Well I hope that you get to see you baby on the day that you planned. Get a petition going on the appt. rule. Right for all rights..

The mess with the FCI Med 2 facility in Victorville started in January 2005 when they opened this facility and used it as a hole for some guys from the USP when they had problems there due to the troubles with the non-smoking policy.

My friend was placed there in January for 2 month and they also claimed he will get transferred somewhere else. Finally he got moved back to the USP in March.

Best would be to write Regional Director Nunja in Dublin, CA and ask him for the reasons why your fiance is kept there since May. Also write director Lappin in Washington. Do they have "normal" visiting at FCI 2 now? When they placed the first guys there in January they did not allow vistits at all. Then they only allowed 2 hour visits in March.
