Have you tried to go into the PA forums and talk to members there on the message boards? This site isnt only about the chat room, we have tons of information on the boards . And just cause you are in chat doesnt mean you are going to find someone who has a loved one in pa. The best thing for you to do is to go into that state forum.

I found this site a while back and haven't been able to do anything on here or find anyone to communicate with. I am the only person I know who is trying so hard to keep it together with my man who is in prison and none of my friends understand and I thought this would be a good support site but I'm having trouble working around this site. can anybody help me. I really am here to listen to what other people have to say and to get support for myself from people who are in the same situation as I am. Private messages do not count toward the 25 post requirement. ;)

The best thing to do is search the PTO Forums and find one that interests you and start reading. Questions about the prison system cannot get properly answered in our chat room as that is not its purpose. You can find answers within the appropriate forums that are geared toward your personal issues. If you have questions about the prison your loved one is in, go to that states forum (Or the Federal prsion forum) and look there. If you have a personal issue about your significant other, ask in that forum. We have forums devoted to having a husband/bf; wife/gf; parent, child, etc.

And don't worry about posting in the wrong forum in the beginning.. one of the PTO staff will come along and guide you by moving it to the proper forum to get the best answers. You will be notified via private messaging as to where your thread was moved to.

While we rarely close threads here on PTO, I'm closing this one as it is slightly misleading. When this thread was originally posted there was no required 2 weeks of membership with 25 supportive post requirement. The repair that was done to fix our then chat room no longer applies to everyone. NOW all new members need the above requirement to be able to chat here on PTO.
