Can anyone tell me what phone system Ventress uses and what the number is to contact them??

And do you have to set up an account with them or will it just come through? I've had a terrible time with Correctional Billing. So I hope it just comes through.

Hi.. missing*him... The phone company is T-Netix. I am not sure of the number. My son was at Ventress and is now at Elba Work Release. I never had to set up an account, the calls just came through. I know some people do, though. Let him put your number on his list and tell him to try calling you! If it comes through...great! If not..then you will have to set up that account!

T-Netix and Correctional Billing are one and the same now. Correctional and T-Netix merged. Usually the calls just come thru like a regualr collect call. Correctional Billing Services number is 1-800-844-6591 and T-Netix (sometimes it answers tnetix and sometimes it answers CBS) is 1-888-610-7079

When I had a block with T-Netix (over something STUPID)...I got that recording "you have went over your limit, blah blah blah...call this number to take the block off" so, I thought I was calling T-Netix but, nope! It was Correctional Billing...the block was taken off immediately...and he said "just be glad you didn't have to go through T-Netix to get the block taken off...it can take up to 72 hours with them...and I know you don't want to miss that many calls" I was surprised they said that...but, happy at the same time. If they have merged and all that...why don't they just use one name & stop confusing everybody??? :rolleyes:

Thanks to everyone for the information. I didn,t know that the two phone companies had merged. So I called and spoke to the nicest lady. I had to set up an account because my husband is in State now( I never had the money to send to prepay so he could call from county). So we got it set up and the block should be off by Friday. They didn't run a credit check or anything, just set it up. She was so helpful!!
