I am needing assistance/information here in the Arizona forum (althought I do know there is a employment site under "for offenders".
I have a good friend who has recently gotten out and is searching for employment, that being said, he is really struggling to gain employment status because of a felony. I have given him so temp. placement leaads but really would like to find this book:
When my loved one was in Eyeman, at that time they had an "In and Out" book in the inmate library. I remember that he'd said the book contained a listing of employers who will actually hire a felon.
My son was released in May 05 but did say there was one in the library and that it consisted of several pages regarding re-entry back into societyemployment etc..
I have two more friends who will be getting out in Feb. 05 and June 05, respectively and I know that something like this would help them as well. Or does anyone know of any companies that will hire felons?

I would also have your friends inquire at the library to see if this book is available to them also...good luck and like I said I'll do some more checking for you.

Ilovemyshaun~ heres a link for you also, you might want to check the Cali forum as well and also the employment forum..basically I do a search in google. keywords...ex-offender, employment, Cali and it comes up with tons of results.

I thought I had more infor about phoenix resources but it turns out I only have info for tucson, except for one. Ministry to incarerates 420 w. watkins phoenix az 85003. they might be able to help.

I have several agencies that help with getting jobs but they are in tucson but they might be able to refer you to some places in phoenix. jackson employment center 882-5500 or primavera works 882-9668.

I am helping my friend who just got out, to find any type of work that will hire felons....in the Phoenix area, specifically in the East Valley.....anyone have any suggestions? Any help would be very much appreciated....Thank you everyone........Lynn :)
