My husband just got moved to Wasco and when I called it had said something about calling a week ahead of time to call a week in advance to visit hispanics. I got a letter from him today and he didn't say anything about lockdown. I dont know whats going on but I'm not going to even try to visit just because he will be home soon enough and it's not worth the headach. Good luck to the rest of the lady's trying to figure this stuff out.

I have only gotten one letter from Kevin and he has been there since August 3 and I got a letter on Aug 8. He said they had been on lockdown for two weeks before he got there. I haven't heard anything else. I need more mail!!!!

I need some help. For some reason Kevin is not getting my mail. I have sent him stuff everyday since August 4 and as of Aug 10th he hasn't recieved anything. He is starting to doubt that I am here for him. If anyone is going to visit this weekend and has a loved on in HD-3 pm me so you can hopefully get a message to Kevin. I am freaking out. Am I doing something wrong with my mail????

Call the mail room. They will tell you if they are backed up, which is probably the case. The mail going in is sporadic at best. The lock down is for specific groups, yours may or may not be included. I visited mine every Sat. and Sun. up to last weekend. His bldg was not involved in the LD. Hang tight, you will be approved soon.

I was at Wasco this weekend and have driven up the past 2 weekends. This weekend there was MAJOR lockdown Blocks A & D. It was so sad because this elderly couple had driven drown from Riverside and could not see their loved one. It was the saddest sight I had seen besides seeing my man behind that plexiglass!!!! My visit was smooth however I had to wait for about 30 mins before my name was called to go to the window, but you talk to others that are waiting. WORDS OF ADVICE...once you are approved PLEASE wear ONLY what they say. I had to change 3 times! But I think I got it now. LOL

Kris says that they have not been able to leave their cells for a while now. They have been bringing their food to them. He has only been able to come out when I visit. I almost cried.

He finally saw his counselor. Even though I have been talking to him for a while, Kris just saw him, He has his release date and where they are recommending him to go (joke)!!! Anyway, if anyone has questions. I have all the numbers and ext. Actually, I will post them here.

Good Morning, I live in Hanford, it is only about 45 minutes to an hour away from Wasco. The mail being slow doesn't have anything to do with how far away you are though. Atleast I don't think it does. If you have any other questions about Wasco, I can try to help. I am hoping to here from my boyfriend today. My husband just got to Wasco last week. He's in reception. I got a letter on Monday that was postmarked on Friday. He said there was almost a riot after breakfast one morning, but it got settled down.

That's all I know so far. Hopefully there will be more mail today! I can't wait to get my visiting form in and approved. I want to see my baby!
