My BF is in Wasco. He's there for reception. I already sent in my form to visit him. Does anyone know how long it will take to be approved? Any does anyone have info on what it is like? Long wait? Bad / Nice COs?

We just left Wasco. It is not bad at all. The strictness of the dress code varies by who is checking you in. Shirt sleeves must be 2 inches all the way around, shoes must have a back strap, colors are pretty strict, no inmate or CO colors. The visits are one hour behind glass if they are reception. It takes an average of an hour from arrival to sitting at phone. If you have any questions feel free to PM me. . . .we were there for about 8-9 months so I am pretty familiar with their policies. My friend was transfered to Wasco yesterday. Is there anything I can do to make the process of getting appoved for visiting? I know there is a form that needs to be sent in, but do I have to wait till he sends it, or can I print one from the web and send it in? I didn't know the inmates in reception have the behind glass visits =0( I was hoping I would at least get to hug him. How long is reception processing? Thank you-Jenn
P.S. Are regular blue jeans allowed? And do you know where would I find a list of Inmate/CO colors? So I can make sure I don't get all the way just to be told my cloths are not allowed..=0/

Yes, he has to send you the form, the approval has all the prohibited colors on the back. There is not much you can do to hurry it except fill it all out accurately. R/C time is varied, we were there from Jan to last week, many varying factors apparently.
