Visiting Information

General Population:

Monday and Friday
8:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
12:30 p.m. - 2:30 p.m.

Saturday, Sunday and Holidays

Protective Custody:

Friday through Monday, and Holidays
7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.

Restricted Housing Units (Non-Contact):

Friday and Monday
8:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m

General Information:

Holiday visits are permitted at and are designated as free visiting days. They do not count toward the allowed number of visits per week. These holidays include: New Year's Day (January 1), Independence Day (July 4), Thanksgiving Day (4th Thursday in November) and Christmas Day (December 25).

Visitors must arrive at the Gate House at least 30-minutes prior to the end of each visiting session. All members of a party must enter the institution as a group. A maximum number of five (5) persons, including up to three (3) children, will be allowed to visit an inmate at any one time. All regular visits will be a minimum of one-hour (1) in length.

General population, administrative segregation and protective custody inmates are allowed two (2) visits per week. Inmates serving a disciplinary segregation sentence are allowed one (1) visit per week. The visiting week begins on Friday and ends on Monday.

Inmates arriving at WCI must submit an updated visiting list within 30-days of their arrival. Afterwards, changes will be accepted once every 60-days throughout the inmate's stay at WCI.

All visitors are required to be on the inmate's visiting list, unless approved for a special visit.

HI My boyfriend is in WCI. He had to wait until August 1st to add my phone number to his list. Does anyone know how long after submitting my phone number it will take before he will be able to call?

My boyfriend is at WCI. He's been there for a little over a month. I haven't heard from him in 2 weeks and I wanted to go see him. I'm not sure if Im on his visitation list. I called but they can't give out that information. Should I ust wait a little longer I don't want to make the long drive for nothing.

Can you write him and ask if he's turned in his visiting and phone lists and if they have been approved? Might save you a long drive up there only to be dissapointed.

My guy is at WCI also. No they can't give out that info. Only the inmate can find out. If you'd have went before his first 30 days were up, they'd have let you in to visit. The visiting list wouldn't have mattered in the first 30 days.
That's a long drive to get turned away. I'd write him and ask him.

If you go to that web site and put in his name or birthdate you should be able to pull up his info.

My man is at WCI and they are strict up there. Make sure you on on the list and don't wear anything revealing becuase they will not let you in.

AND IN HAGERSTOWN ALSO HAVE A LOCKDOWN I THINK MCTC, NOT 100% SURE, BUT I BELIEVE IT IS THEM. I HAVE A FRIEND THERE AND WILL HAVE TO SEND HIM A LETTER AS I CANT VISIT I AM IN PA AND DONT DRIVE.

Most likely because of the Officer being killed at MHC. I think all of DOC is on lockdown.

Does anyone know about the telephone system at WCI. I called T-netix to try to set up an account and they said that institution is not on their list for service.

My bf has a prepaid account set up with them,so somebody gave you some false info.Did you try the website?

Yes somebody gave me the wrong information but when I called up to the facility I got everything straight. Apparently T-netix does not service all facilities.

I wanted to know if they will let him know that I opened the account. Do them send them a password or number to use when he calls me.

I think he does have a code he will use for long distance calls,each number is given a different code.I am local,so we dont have to go throught all that.But I do know for sure that sometimes it takes awhile for the $ to show up on his account after we put it on.Last month it took 3 weeks!!

when I set it up they told me it would be activated within 24-48 hours. I'm not sure how long it takes but he hasn't called so many the money is not available yet.

They are not on Lockdown as of Saturday. I spoke to my husband saturday morning. maybe they locked down certain dorms or bldg but not the whole facility. Some people complained about problems with mail but I haven't had any problems with mail or phone

I got mail today :) thx! It sucks when you have no way of finding out whats going on in that world of theirs..

HI, I am new to this site. I am just wondering if anyone has anyone in WIC. My brother was just moved there. I havent talked to him in almost eight years. I keep tabs on him because I love him. But it is because I love him so much that I can talk to him right now. I was just wondering what WIC was like. He was in the Eastern SHore Jail for a long time. He gets moved around alot.

I think they still get mail while locked down. I set mad pictures to my man when he was there. They don't limit how many they can get but when they get transferred they can only have a certain amount of property.

Good day, My Fiance was transferred from MCTC to WCI yesterday and I'm not sure what the hell is going on, they say hes on lockup but he just got there and we were scheduled to be married on July16 @ MCTC. Would anyone know why hed be transferred like that I just spoke to him day before yesterday and everything was fine. They also said @ MCTC he went up for parole and then was transferred, if anyone can help please do so?

So Steven has been there almost 2 weeks now.I had my number changed last week and he should have received my new number and letter Sat.I asked him Weds to make sure he requested a new phone list.The co's said it should take 2-5 days sooo anyone know how long it will actually take??I'm going crazy,theyre on dry week and he has no stamps left either!!

My son was moved to WCI from MCIJ early last month. The prison has told us "his visitor list isn't complete yet" and I'm not driving from Baltimore to Cumberland until I know we'll get a visit. How long does this vistor list process take?
