Is anyone else having problems getting mail from their men? Talked to Dan Thursday, he has written three letters in the past month and i haven't received any of them. :angry: Used to only take four days to get a letter from him, now it is like two to three weeks before i get one. Does the prison hold someone's mail if they want to mess with them? I trust Dan, and i know he is writing, but i'm not getting the letters. He is as upset as i am.

My sweetie is in New Folsom and I live in Georgia, so naturally it takes a few days. But lately I have noticed that they have been holding his mail for 4 or 5 days before even putting it in the mail!!! :angry: He wasn't even aware of it, but he knows now and he is NOT happy. I don't know if they are backed up, short staffed, or what? But you're not alone believe that.
This just recently started for us though, so I hope that it does not continue much longer. I could drive there from GA and get the mail before they even send it off!! I hope you get your letters soon.

Yes, the mail to and from New Folsom has been quite unpredictable lately! I don't think they have any mail pick-up or delivery on the weekends, so if they send a letter on Friday, it doesn't get into the mail until Monday at the earliest. I've had letters take anywhere from 6 to 18 days to reach my sweetie!

This has been extremely frustrating to me. Especially back in June when my father died, and it took over two weeks for the sad news to reach Bobby! He was upset, I was upset, and there wasn't a damn thing either of us could do about it! White inmates in B-facility, blocks 1 thru 8, have been on lockdown since the beginning of April! :angry:

But on a positive note . . . I've been receiving his letters fairly quickly. And one of my last letters only took six days to get to him! A New Folsom record, I think!?

Thanks to both of you, i have another question!!! I'm fairly new at this, prison thing, lol, do you know why someone i have never heard of would send me a money order???? I'm pissed as hell that someone has my address that i don't even know, and i'm not naive enough to believe he sent me a money order out of the goodness of his heart!! Any ideas?

I Haven't Received A Letter From J In Almost Two Weeks. At First I Thought He Just Wasnt Writing But He Says That He Has So I Have To Give Him The Benefit Of The Doubt. Hopefully We Will All Receive Some Mail Sooner Rather Than Later. Oh And In Regards To The Money Order I Certainly Wouldn't Accept It B/c If U Don't Know Who Sent It To You Than Chances Are That It Is Some Sort Of Scam. Be Careful

My husband is in New Folsom. It usually takes only 2 days for me to get his letters. He told me that last week he wrote everyday to me, so I should get 5 letters from him. For some reason it took a full week to get 4 of them and I'm still waiting on one. The mail is really fast there and I don't know why you haven't gotten any. There has been a slight delay but not that bad. Maybe they are messing with him. I would call the mailroom and see what's up!

I get mail from new folsom and all my mail takes 2 days (keeping fingers crossed) and as far as the M.O. goes check with your man beacuse he might of had someone send it to you.
