Just missing my baby big time...:( He hasn't tried to call me in a couple of days. So I was just wondering if anyone out there has heard anything about Mule Creek? Just hoping the aren't on lockdown in this heat...

Thanks JJ...I finally got a letter from my hunny...2 actually. :D At least I know theres no lock downs or anything. He just said it's kinda hard in the heat to concentrate on writting a letter sometimes. I can understand that, it's been in the triple digits for a couple weeks straight now...:blah:

EVERYDAY???   I'm so jealous...LOL! J/K :D I got 2 letters this week... ...at least they were long ones... I'm just greedy when it comes to my hunny... For some reason our timing has been way off when it comes to phone calls the past couple weeks...he calls but not when I'm home to take his calls. Then the days I sit right by the phone waiting he doesn't call. We've only talked one time in 2 weeks...:( I know what my problem is...I haven't been able to go visit for like a month and a half now. Soon I'll be able too...just got a lot going on with summer and kids and all.

I received my first letter :yay::yay::yay: yesterday. Is the mail typically slow? I will have to mentally prepare myself. I am used to getting at least one letter everyday since we had no phone calls. I am getting so nervous about seeing him:confused::confused:. It almost seems surreal after waiting ten months.

If there is anyone who would like to carpool, I will take the 99 from Hanford and would love the company.

Do most of you stay overnight and go both days, drive back and forth or just do one day visits?

As you can tell I am feeling lonely about the whole thing, I had a support system at Wasco and now feel as if we are starting all over again.

Thanks Ladies,

Cynthia

Hi Tony's Babe...:D ...glad to hear you got your first letter...;) The mail there is slow, usually... Actually their mail to us isn't usually slow...2 or 3 days like normal. BUT...our mail going in the prison for them WAY lags...:banghead: It's taken as long as 3 weeks before... The fastest it's ever been is about a week... ...what can we do...:hmm: ...not much.

I did get a phone call just a little while ago from my baby...hadn't heard his voice in over a week...almost 2 weeks. It's funny...the whole time we are on the phone I've got a big smile on my face...:D I need to go see my man very soon...when are you planning to go visit?

Mail speed depends for some reason on which yard they're on...A yard mail seems to be from my hand to his in a week. Phone calls are usually every three days, when they have dayroom, although that can change if they work. Sometimes they get phone access after work.
My next family visit starts 9/5!!

I will go this Saturday. . .his 10 day orientation should be done this week. Do they have Labor Day visiting? If so I think I may stay that weekend and get the extra time with him.

Does anyone else have someone on C yard?

Another dress code question. . . .blouses, do they have to have the 2 inch sleeve all the way around (Wasco had just started that and it is difficult in the summer) or is it just a sleeve? How high does the neck line need to be?

Thanks Ladies, I hope to meet you soon

Enjoy your family visit Denver, I am jealous :blah::blah: lol.
Hope you get to go soon Dianne. . . .I am climbing the walls waiting for his phone call.

Hi Tonys Babe...yes they do have visiting on Labor Day...I just looked it up...:) Staying that weekend is a good idea...wish I could do something like that...but I can't...I have 4 kids and I'm sure not taking them with me...I like to enjoy my time with my hunny...:D He's not their Dad anyway...anyways...I might be up there one of the 3 days this weekend too...but I'm not sure yet. When I know for sure I'll let you know...maybe we could meet up or something...;) Take care...

That would be great. . . .sounds as if you have your hands full, 4 kids is a full time job plus!!

How much does the average phone call cost? I am hoping to hear from my honey the end of this week and I know I will be tempted to tell him to call everyday :D:D or as often as possible, with the price of gas this move is going to be a pain but excessive phone call costs certainly won't help.

I will drive up and back the same day most of the time. . . . .I think it will take about 2.5 hours so it won't be to bad but once in a while a two or three day visit is necessary :yes:.

do you iknow of any of the laides there who live anywhere around me? I would love to find someone to break up the monotony of the trip. Dreading 5 hours of car time :eek:.

Thanks for listening/reading :) and responding. . . it makes me a little less apprehensive. Of course reading that there is a possibility that they may move again is a little nerve wracking. I hope it is just the typical rumor run amok.

Hi Cynthia...a full 15 minute call is $3.75 for me here in Los Banos...not too bad but it sure adds up fast... We got a little crazy there for a while but we've been cutting back on the calls lately.

As for other ladies who may live around you...there's a couple from Merced but I don't have their #'s or anything...I just talk to them when I'm out there. I learned my lesson of making friends there with the other woman...so I only chit chat with a few of them. One of them starting asking me how do I know if my man is just using me or not when I told her we met while he was there in prison. I told my guy about it and he got way pissed...told her guy to tell his woman to mind her own business. Drama...that we didn't need.

I know what you mean about the drive...I just listen to lots of music...and drive way too fast...LOL! :D j/k...just a little...;)

Where are you guys from?? I'm from Modesto. My guy just got there this month and I got my first phone call..couldn't stop at just one or two... I want to go see him but don't I have to wait to be approved? And doesn't that take about a month?

Hi vikkijean...hope I spelled that right... I'm in Los Banos...we're practically neighbors...:D ...LOL! Yes, you do have to get approved...took about 2 weeks maybe. What yard is your man in? Mine is in A yard...

I am in Hanford, the other side of Fresno. When you say you have to be approved, do you mean again after the original visiting approval form or do you mean after they finish the orientation period? I am stressed now. . . I thought after the 10 day orientation I would be able to go. . . . .

I know what you mean about some of the people you meet, I've met a few flakes but several great ladies. It is the same everywhere, people project their own issues on all they meet.

Have a great day. . .. :):):):)

Sorry, I'm a little slow today ! VikkieJean, how long did it take to get your phone call? Mine arrived there last week. When I called, they said after orientation is over they can use the phone. I am already going crazy without regular mail and twice weekly visits, I don't know what that man has done to me :p:p:p I think I'm obsessed lol.

Once you have the original approval, you just have to wait for them to get off orientation status. But call and check, it can take longer tham 10 days. Call visiting and ask them.

Thanks, do you have the extension for visiting? Should I wait and call on Friday as his 10 days should be done on Wednesday or Thursday?

Two months:clap::clap: until you honey comes home!!! How extremely excited are you? Congrats and God Bless. Mine has about 20 months left and it seems like an eternity to me.

Family visiting is 5420. If you call between 7-2 you can usually get CO Collins, the family visiting officer, who is really nice and will most likely give you the right one!! I'd wait until later in the week, but not Friday, in case you can't find anyone!
Denver will do a total of 26 months total, he's been at Mule Creek since October last year. One more family visit (Labor day week) and it's the race to the gate!!

Hi Tonysbabe...sorry to get you all stressed...I was actually replying to vikkijeans post...she asked about being approved and about how long it takes. Sorry again for stressing you out...:) I don't know anything about the orientation and all that, my baby was right there in Mule Creek when I met him.. I meant the regular visiting forms...;)..

Your right about people being that way in any situation. I just don't want to say the wrong thing to the wrong person and have it somehow cause drama in there for my man. But I do still like to socialize with the ladies...I have met some very nice people out there who I share a common bond with...and talking to someone who is going through what I am going through is such a great support system. That's one of the reasons I love PTO!!!  :hifive:  :yay: :D

Also Tony's Babe with only 20 months to go...I'm happy for you too...:D Don't worry...it will fly by...;)

My hunny is a lifer...   ...without parole even... I'd do anything to change that...anything at all, if I could...:(

LOL, I am easily stressed lately, one of those when one things goes wrong the world really pees on your parade.

Thanks for the number, I will call Thursday after a lot of prayer.

Anyone going this weekend?

Life, how horrid, I will keep you both in prayer. You can't ever give up, the Lord works in mysterious ways. It doesn't hurt that the state of CA is notoriously bad about mismanaging $$$$ and we have a governor that wants to make a name for himself. They may have to have a REAL prison reform:faint::faint::faint: not the nonsense they have been calling reform.

Thanks ladies.

I know that each time they are transfered to another facility you have to be approved for that place.....it dosent transfer from the last place... he needs to send you another application.
The last letter I got said Al, is that his yard? He was in DVI for about 18 months and I wasn't able to visit....and he could make phone calls. I got my first phone call yesterday......talked for almost 2 hours....and I cant wait to visit.

Tony'sBabe...yes, I agree with you...it is so horrible...:blah: What makes it even worse is my baby is innocent of the 3 worse charges he got convicted of. He had 6 charges...all felonys...he plead guilty to the 3 he was guilty of...2 grand theft autos and one robbery. He plead innocent to the 3 charges he is innocent of...which are murder in the first degree, burglery and another grand theft auto. Those 3 charges were all linked to the same victim. They convicted him of all charges with no solid evidence linking him to the 3 he didn't do. That was almost 15 years ago now. He lost all of his appeals...:( ...but we are never going to give up hope. He walked into my life last year, quite by chance really. We've been together now for only 8 1/2 months and there is no doubt in my mind that we were meant to be together. I love him more than I've ever loved any man. (and I've been married twice... ) LOL! So now all I have to do is get him out from under that life sentence...;) Love knows no boundries...   :nono:  :cuffs: :shake: LOL!

Vikkijean...yes A1 means your man is in A yard building 1...

I was denied when he was at DVI, because I had a traffic ticket in another county that I didn't know about. So when I missed the court date, I had a bench warrent out.....I got that taken care of but I still have an unpaid traffic ticket.....do you think that will stop me from getting to visit? I sure hope not.... I haven't seen him for 2 yrs....Vicky

It sure could. They CAN deny visiting for even something that small. You're better off getting it taken care of ASAP. And even if they let you in, they can terminate you visit if they find it later. Good luck and I sure hope you get at least one visit before they catch up!

Vikkijean, how many days from the time he arrived did it take to get your call?

I received a letter saying he should see committee yesterday or today but when I called they said he is still on orientation status but that it could change tomorrow. Do I need to prepare myself for not visiting this weekend? More tears. . . . .

Dianne, God can find a way if it is meant to be. It is interesting to read your story, we were friends before he went in but God stepped in after he was clean and it has been all wine and roses since. Love can change the world, keep him in prayer and surround him with your love and wait for the miracles to happen.

Cynthia, I'm not sure the exact date he got there......I know it was before the 5th and he tried to call last Fri the 12th, but I was at work..... He said he can now make calls when he has day room. I think that is everyday but at different times of the day. What yard is your guy in? Maybe if you don't get to visit you will get a phone call. How long does he have left?? My guy has until April, that is if he doesn't get into any trouble. We were friends too before he went in.....just hope he can do well when he gets out.....

Vikkijean-I just wanted to let you know they (Mule Creek) wouldn't let my friend in to see her husband because of an outstanding speeding ticket. She visits regularly and had gotten a speeding ticket she hadn't paid yet. So on her next visit she got denied because of it... As soon as she cleared the ticket up she was allowed to visit again.

I think I posted reply in the wrong thread, lol. YES, we had a lovely two days. He is on C yard but he said 100 of them that just transferred in are being moved again between Sept 9-23 to SVSP. I am bummed about that, seems they have issues, I am praying they get in all under control before he is transferred.

The drive was a bit long but so worth it to see him, hug and kiss!!

Have you been able to visit yet? When will you be able to go? I pray soon. I don't know where you live but it is about one hour from the 99 to the prison if that is how you go. Lovely little towns and scenery. I take the 99 the whole way to 88 and thought it was close once I turned off, got lost twice thinking I missed something  . Went much better the second day. Good Luck, hope you can go soon, I am going again this Sunday.

Vikkiejean, sorry but once he is moved from one California prison to another all his approved visitors are still his approved visitors. You do not need to be approved for each facility.
