View Full Version : What's a spawn in someone's file? Julie_Kay_J 04-29-2003, 02:32 PM I have never heard of that until just recently on this forum. deb 04-29-2003, 03:47 PM It's like a red flag from what I understand. It usually means that they can't be moved to a certain facility because.....of whatever reason and it states it... Deb Julie_Kay_J 04-29-2003, 07:45 PM Thank you, Deb. mabear 04-29-2003, 08:35 PM A spawn is generated when a CO or inmate or victim files a notice saying that a) in the case of victims that they want to be notified of release of prisoner. b) that a CO personally knows an inmate, etc. c) that there is another inmate that is afraid him/her. Once a CO or inmate generates a spawn against someone they will not put them in the same faciity. ___________ mabear StacysWar030 04-30-2003, 07:58 AM A Spawn is an ENEMY of the inmate.....whether the inmate don't get along with someone or vice versa.....and the two people together could create a problem. In my honey's case, he has 7 or 8 of them. THey are all people that were directly involved in his case and none of them can be in the same facility. Stacy Julie_Kay_J 04-30-2003, 05:23 PM Oh my. That must keep people busy trying to keep track of so many spawns. I have a new understanding of the person who sets up transfers. Seems they would always be going back to the drawing board. :-) StacysWar030 05-01-2003, 07:33 AM LOLOLOL Yes! my honey has already been tranferred to another prison cuz they made a mistake and put him in the same prison on the same floor as one of his spawns. He didn't evven know it til I told him at the new facility. I check the MDOC everyday cuz there is another still waiting to be placed and I want to make sure they don't send him to where my honey is!!! Stacy |
