Welcome to PTO! I don't have specific answers to your question regarding Bellamy Creek, but I can answer any generic questions you may have about Michigan facilities as can the many members here from Michigan. I'm unsure if any of us have someone in that particular facility. If you have questions about Michigan's facilities please post and we'll try and help......

If you're going by what the web-site says...it isn't always updated right away when changes in facilities take place. Do I believe what MDOC says? 100%? NO. Can you talk to his old parole officer? They must've put him in for violating parole given what you said and the parole officer may have some answers....Didn't he have court prior to going back in?

He is in the dormitory part of the prison. The probation officer got smart-mouthed with me. She said he broke probation because he didn't get a job fast enough. She also brought up his prior offenses in Florida that had been dropped. The probation officer said he should be in there to get some "initiative". The judge said she was tired of giving out "Christmas presents" at the time, so that's why she put him in.

So, how long did the judge give him? I would go by what this judge said versus MDOC----but he will probably get out early anyway with the early releases that are happening. Sounds like the po and judge were in yucky moods when he was sentenced......

His erd is 4/4/04 and the judge and the probation officer work together all the time we got him a lawyer and she couldn't believe how the proceeding went she siad that that jucge is crazy she had let a few go who had done alot worse than he did it's like ok I let these ones go now you and you go to jail they had even had the nerve to ask me why I hadn't threw him out the lawyer siad nobody had the right to do that, I do hope he is released early I've never heard of anybody going to prison for not having a job when they did

I've got another question how close do they have to be to their early release date before they will even look at them, and if they have will they even tell you that they have

Everything's changing in Michigan with the overcrowding and we're all still trying to figure it out really as far as parole and early release....Hang in there!

This is just my opinion and you know what they say about those but it sounds like they are finding more reasons to put people in prison than reasons to get them out, it seems that they are forgetting that they don't have room for the ones thats in their now, thanks for replying to my questions it helps to have someone that listens
