Hello everyone,
I'm trying to find some information on if the archaic felony murder bill in the state of MI was reintroduced or not in June. I've gone to the state site and can't find it on the hill.
Also, I've been getting complaints more than usual in regards to racism within the system and am looking for instances and cases to place on my site. I've had men within fed. fac. who tell me the black officers are treating the black inmates differently than other inmates. They're treating them inhumanely, when confronted about the treatment, the inmate is told by the officer it's part of his training and the inmate is transferred to another facility.
Also in the state facility of WI in Racine, where the warden a black female in treating the whites and hispanics nicely, but the blacks she's extremely indifferent to. This report came to me from a white inmate who was recently released from that facility, couldn't believe what he saw there....
At a max. sec. fed. fac. a black Capt. was transferred because he wasn't assertive enough towards the black inmates.
I want to write something up about this for a CA newspaper, I have someone in MI a lifer, he's been there for 26 yrs., we keep hoping for his release. Anyways, this kind of behavior reinforces negativity within the system and some of the men are starting to find it disturbing and more prominent within their realms. If anyone has any info or stories on this you can e-mail me privately if you wish at either *e-mail removed per PTO policies. Please pm this member* I thank you and I hope that soon life will bless us all.
