Hi Everyone. Well My Boyfriend Finally Got To Delano Today July 28th, After Being Sentenced To A Probation Violation On June 30th, He Was Given 16 Months. I Wantto Know What To Expect From This Point On, How Long Before I Can Talk To Him, And How Do I Go About Finding Out Info About Him, And What I Can And Cannot Send And What About Visiting. Sorry For So Many Questions But This Is New To Me. I Gave Him The Bridiging To Education Info I Received From This Site, And I Believe He Will Be Eligible For That Program. So Im Hoping This Will Cut Some Of His Time. Do They Every Get Released Early? He Is A Non-violent Offender, Just Petty Things. Thanks All Of You For The Information I Know I Will Receive From You... I Dont Know What I Would Do Without This Place.... Thank You Thank You
P.S. IF HIS SENTENCE WAS ORGINALLY 5 YEARS THEN AFTER CREDITS FOR TIME SERVED AND THEN 50% GIVEN IT CAME TO 16 MONTHS TOTAL, WOULD HE DO LESS TIME THAN THE 16 MONTHS, SORRY FOR ALL THESE QUESTIONS IM JUST SO CONFUSED

Well my boyfriend is now at the N.K.S.P reception(del ano) and well in order to visit him you have to fill out a cdc-106 form and he can send it to you and you can also visit the california dept. of corrections website for more info like the # to the location and the inmate locator/id warrents # to get his CDC #. Once you have that call the facility # and get records and give them his CDC # and they can give you his mailing address and they also have a visiting extention you can dial to ask them any visiting questions. I do know while in reception they are not allowed phone calls. Also when you do go to visit they said its through the glass kinda like L.A. county i assume. No contact visits till they go to main line- (after reception)

When Kevin sees his counsolor, he will be given his ERPD. If he does 16 months on a five year term, that is really good.
re: bridging to education. I don't know very much about that. I have heard that you do and now heard that you don't get 35%. Only half timers get 35% when they go to a fire camp. Maybe he would be interested in a camp since he is non-violent!?
Was he in OCJ for quite a while? Like I said, his 1/2 doesn't start in reception until he gets a job.
Yes visiting behind glass in reception is normally 1 hour. If he goes to Wasco, that is a 2 1/2 hour drive each way. That is where my son is.

hey there, well delano is reception so he will be there long enough to go over all his points which will determine his level, go over his release date. so if you got 5 years and he got a ton of credits and has 16 months left then he will either do 50, or 80% of the 16 months. it all depends on what the judge ordered. for examply my hubby for 32 months but he got credits for a year, so he is doing 16 months after the 80% so it all depends. he will need to send you a visiting app andyou mail it back, i hear delano takes a little longer to get you approved. as about info, well ht emost you can get is like his mailing address, they really cant give you much info about him cause of the 1977 privacy act. he will go tocommittee within the first 30 days of being at delano and once he goes there he will have his release date.. any other question? go ahead and PM Me...;)
