Its not often anything major happens in Idaho that concerns offenders. On top of the sex offender cases we have had linked to Idaho we have also had a fair share of escapes lately. I used to think most of the escapes that happened around here were work center walk aways. For the most part that is still true, but with the recent inmate jumping from a moving work van and the escape at the county jail lately its been a busy few months.
For the life of me I will never understand why inmates think they can actually pull off walking away from a work center or jumping from vehichles. Do they really think its worth it in the end?
I am still trying to figure out if its always been like this and I never noticed or if we really are having more issues with inmates. I know the problems we have here in Idaho are nothing like the larger prison systems, but is what we knew as a pretty calm prison system (compared to others) starting to change? Is what we have always known as a calm and quiet state starting to change? I know we will always have growth and with growth comes some change, but is it changing more then I am wanting to see
