Well this might be kind of long but I am very frustrated. In April of last year my husband was at CCI Tehachapi for reception. My husband sent me visiting application and I completed them and sent them to my husband. He never received them. I had made photocopies of the forms he had sent me. I realized that I was supposed to send the visiting application to the visiting sergeant so I completed one of the photocopies and mailed it. Initially I was denied for submitting a photocopy because photocopies are not allowed. I had my husband send me new forms which I completed and submitted. While I was waiting to get approved they transferred my husband from CCI to Ironwood and after 2 months I was finally approved for visiting. I have been visiting for the last year. Well on Thursday they transfer my husband back to CCI. When I originally called CCI Visiting Department I was told my husband's visiting file transfers with him and give it a couple of days and I will be put in their computer and I will be able to visit so I think everything is fine. Now I call visiting and I am told that I am in the computer as being denied for submitting a photocopy. I explain everything to them and tell them I reapplied at Ironwood and I was approved. They told me that I have to reapply for visiting there and wait another 6 - 8 weeks. I am so frustrated, why are they doing this?

I looked up the Title 15 rules and it clearly states Any visitor approved for visiting at one institution/ facility shall be approved to visit the same inmate upon transfer to another institution/facility provided the visitor’s approval status remains unchanged.

Can anyone help me? Is there someone I can contact. I have talked with the Visiting Sergeant and CDC in Sacramento and nobody seems to be able to help me.

Sorry to hear this, it is wrong what they are doing but that is the nature of the beast. Obviously get another form in asap, if you need one PM me and I'll mail you an original.

Secondly contact Ken Hurdle and see if he can help, he has been a wonderful resource at mediating problems with the CDC and Families.

If all else fails try to talk to the Associate Warder or the Warden for that matter. What I've done in the past is find some random phone extenstion at the facility and then call and hit something close to that. When someone picks up tell them "oh I'm sorry I was holding for the Associate Warden" Oh...let me transfer you.

Hi im new at this my man sent me and his mom visiting forms and we mailed it back to him, were we suppose to mail them somwhere else?? so what happens if he receives them will they accept them from him oh noo, he just told me to mail them back asap but didnt say adifferent address other than the one ive been writing to him he knows im new at this so what do i do?? just wait....??:idea:

i had the same problem my fiancee is at cci & he had sent me & his mother each an application they told him he had to send it to us first then we had to mail it back to him for him to sign & get it proccess,which i did i send it in asap well turns out that my application was denied because he did not sign it im still waiting to get a new one but for some reason he has not gotten one yet.
DOES ANYONE KNOW WHAT TO DO ?????????

I Had The Same Problem With My Husband At Cci. I Was Denied Because He Did Nt Sign It. What He Have To Do To Get A New One And Sign It. You Send It Asap When The Co Received It You Get Approved That Same Day That Same Thing Happen To Me. I Was Approved That Same Day.
