I am just so happy. I just got a phone call from my son. This is the first time I have talked to him in since they sent him to the reception center.

He told me that the guard working is nice and let him make a special phone call to me (outside of normal time) which is during rec with a long line, yet it is when I am normally not home from work. so the guard told him he could call me this mornining . What a great feeling. I wonder if those guards know how much it means to the family when they take a little extra time and show that they are human too by displaying some kindness?

I feel so much better after talking to my son. What a relief just to hear his voice. I will post more about this call in the parent forum. :D

Susan - what a great way to start your day. I remember how I enjoyed the first few phone calls from my husband. Glad to hear there are some nice guards out there.

THAT IS SO NICE TO HEAR THAT IS WHY I WANTED A TOPIC JUST FOR THAT. WE ALL KNOW THERE IS A LOT OF BAD OR NEGITIVE THINGS GOING ON IN PRISONS BUT IT IS NICE TO NOT ALWAYS FOCUS ON THOSE AND SEE SOME GOOD ONCE IN A WHILE.. THANK YOU FOR SHARING WITH US..
