I was denied visitation because they said that I falsified my application since I did not disclose that I was arrested. I have never been arrested. I don't even have a parking ticket on my record. The only time I was ever in the presence of police was on Novemebr 3, 2004 when they took my husband and I in and they let me go after asking me a few questions. WELL, I just got back from the San Diego police department and GET THIS I have NO RECORD of Arrest. I have lived in San Diego my whole life so unless this is a case of identity theft - the CDC made a HUGE mistake. So I guess I write my appeal and let them know that they are mistaken. Does anybody know how I can get a copy of the background report (CI & I) from the DOJ? Could the CDC have made this type of mistake? What if it is a case of identity theft? Does anyone know who I could call to help me? I am totally panicking...

Hey... have you tried calling downtown to the court house to see if them have any criminal records? Call Crimnail records and they should be able to provide you with what to do. If that doesn't work, write to the warden of the prison you are trying to visit because that's what I did when I was denied and they approved me after I explained everything. Good luck... pm if you have questions.

I would try and clear this up immediately. Makes you wonder if you are a victim of identity theft! Once you get the results of a police check you can probably send this in to the facility and they can correct their information. Good luck to you!

I just went to my local police department and paid $10 for my fingerprints to be taken. I then sent in a form, the prints and along with $25.00 to the Department of Justice in Sacramento. I have been waiting 5 weeks now. The PD told me they take a while. I guess so!
Then I would appeal to the warden of that prison.
Good luck.

The visit application says "have you been arrested or detained" You were detained. If you answered that question NO, then you falsified your application.
Had you said yes - and told them when and why, you would have been approved.

I sent in my criminal record and expungment papers in with my app. So they can't say I left out anything! Still haven't heard from those jerks though!

My husband was denied and now we have to do some research to get this straightened out. Does anyone know if you are suppose to have the date, place and reason for an arrest? LuzGonzalez1971, I just wanted to let you know that my son sent in his application in and he was denied. After staying on them, I ended up finding out the reason he was denied was because they put his name down wrong and mixed it up with someone elses. I am sure the main reason for mine is the way I spell my son's name got the ball rolling in the wrong direction, so to speak and it just got worse from there.
Just make sure they have the SSN correct, that is the best because that will help, it helped me. The only thing that proved my son was who he is, is by his drivers license.
Good luck Please PM me if I can help in anyway..

I just found out today that I was denied visiting for my boyfriend. It's really weird because I'm approved to visit my father and 2 friends all at different prisons. And my boyfriends on the minimum security yard. It makes no sense to me at all.
If anyone can tell me what I should send in my appeal and an address, I would really appreciate it!

Well they should have told you the reason for your denial... did they?
