Hi everyone. Can anyone give me info on Death Row at Atmore?
and what the policies are in sending info. And do they watch the
DR guys alot closer? Meaning on what they are allowed to have,
etc.?

Thanks alot!

Yes, actually I received my first letter from him. Was great! He has told me sort of the guidelines and all that jazz that goes with it. I have on on Chat talking with many great people and they also have been helpful and supportive! I cant thank you enough for taking the time to post this. I have been looking around and it is strange that no many families have loved ones at Atmore....... But thank you kindly!

Hi, I also have a pp on DR at Holman. Rarely have I had problems getting things through and what was refused I eventually was able to get in with the Warden's approval. They do indeed change the rules on a whim, sometimes it is hard to keep up. Hope you are getting on well!!

Bella, I just saw this post, but i do hope that you found out all the info that you was looking for. I also find it very strange that hardely anyone writes anything in this forum for HOLMAN. compared to the number of guys there we are way behind on our posting. Maybe it will pick up around here. I have someone in SEG there at Holman, if i can ever be of any help, just let me know.

my brother was just sent to Holman. But I have no idea what it's like there. I haven't been able to talk to him yet. He is not on DR, they did, however, put him on the 5th floor because there was not an empty bed on the 4th floor where he was suppose to be. If they was out of beds why didn't they leave him at Kilby till they got room? I will never understand the ADOC. Well take care all.

I'm sure yall wouldn't fight over that bed, neither would we...LOL. Since they are so full they could let some of our loved ones out (even if it's on house arrest) At least they would be home. How far do you live from Holman?

I agree!!!.... they should look at some of the inmates cases, and redo the sentence....there are SO very many people in Prison.. that will never see the outside again...why not atleast lessen the sentence to life WITH parole so that they have atleast the CHANCE of getting to come home... and like in yalls case.. he only has 6 more months... house arrest sounds great! and i'd bet he would rather be under house arrest than there in that hell hole ANYTIME.
I wish yall the best.,..

God Bless!!

oh yeah.... how far am i from Holman... 5 hours... Ugh!
drive the long 5 hours... and then worry that the tiny visiting room will fill up too fast, and they will ask you to leave, after just a few hours.
it's worth it tho...gotta hold onto everything you got!

5 hours is a long drive, i think its a 3-4 hour drive from here. But I will hang on to my little bit of time with him, if I actually get to go. Cause the people at the prison has told us 2 different stories about visiting day. I think they wanted to confuse us more than we already was...LOL.

My friend David is serving life at Holman. He says that the warden there changes the rules everytime he pleases. So we never know what the hell is going on.
