what i was trying to write is i want to go visit high desert like one weekend a month and would like to find someone else who is interested in sharing a room? I am totally straight and dont watch tv all night. :) Right now i go over on saturday evenings and stay the night and just visit on sunday. But would like to spend a whole weekend sometimes. so if anyone is interested let me know. I am 40 years young and love to spend time at the pool. :)

We might need to talk...I live in Montana, but visit Cali 3-5 times a year and HDSP just got added to my route...or at least it will as soon as I'm approved...You're somewhere near Weaverville, right? Are you looking for someone to share the driving or just the room? Post here or pm me...hope to hear from you soon
Cheers

I'll be going up to HDSP about twice a month. I'm headed that way this coming weekend. August 5-7th. PM me if interested.

yeah i am near weaverville, closer to Willow Creek. I have my own car and do the driving (stick shift :D ). so sharing just the room would be great. hey i just found out can stay in a tent at the rv park near walmart for 16.00 for two people. they have showers and all that right there. was thinking about checking that out as an option if nothing else works out. Maybe we could get a group of women to camp out for more safety. its real nice weather for camping. :) what you think?

Girl, are you insane? It's been 100+ and tents don't have AC!!!

Nope, not insane. :) its never as hot in susanville as it is in Redding. It cools down in the evenings. Anyway i have one volunteer! :D And during the day time hours i am usually at walmart or looking around. so would only go to sleep at the tent. :) I grew up out in the mountains with no electricity or stuff like that, so its no big deal to me. Thats how i got into writing pen pals! I was 13 when i got my first pen pal. But yeah it would be hard for some people to camp out and give up the luxuries you can have at a motel, i admit that. :D

How long does it take to get approved to visit someone at High Desert? I have a pen pal there who I would like to visit.

Getting approved to visit can take anywhere from one month to 3 months if everything is true and correct on your visiting form. From what I know, you can't have any felonies or warrants on your record or your visiting will be denied until you provide further information.

LOL....well, I'm a guard in a juvenile facility in Virginia, so I don't expect I'll have any problems. Thanks for the info. I appreciate all I can get. I'm not familiar with Cali prisons at all. :)
