My fiancee's mom and his brother travel three hours to Varner and upon arriving are told they are denied visiting my fiancee. His mom has already visited him once with no problem and there has been no fighting or anything on my fiancee's part. What the hell? They just spent 6 hours on the road just to be told they can't see him and with no explanation. They can't find out until tomorrow though so now it's just sit and wait to find out what happened that they would deny their visitation. Needed to vent!!!!

I hate that. Those poeple don't have a heart, I really think that sometimes. They do what they want when they want. I pray it all works out for them.

Thanks missingmyhubie and Hunt's-girl. I agree, they don't have a heart. His mom was super pissed. She said she was going to call and find out what the deal is tomorrow. Plus she said she's going to tell them that she wants an apology and a refund for her gas.... yeah ok, let's see which one of those she gets first. I'm not holding my breath because I know she will get neither of the two. That is how the DOC works! UGH
Do you think if people out here knew what we go through to just be able to visit or talk on the phone to our loved ones, do think people even know how "imprisoned" we are along with our loved ones? and subject to the same insane inconsistent rules and regulations that are made up as they go along.
Do you think the general public cares? This is a question? What do you think?
I am so sorry for that happening to ya'll.

Hi Pods. Thanks! I honestly think that people that haven't been in the situation we are in could not even begin to comprehend what we go through. I have missed out on doing so much due to waiting for that "one phone call" that sometimes comes and other times doesn't but i'm here waiting regardless. We have our own prison and no one will understand that. They can empathize and that's about it.
The general public care? I doubt it. There are a few that may care but for the most part, they have their own worlds to live in. But to be perfectly honest, until I got put in this situation, there would have been no way to understand what others are going through. As for the inconsistent rules and regulations, did you know that the phones at Varner don't get turned on until 3 pm most of the time? Crazy, huh? Plus, the guards, or whoever, turn the phones off on a whim just because they can. So sometimes I don't get that "one phone call" that i'm expecting but i'm still in this prison because i've been waiting and waiting.
What really gets me is that no matter who you try to talk to, it's always one brick wall after another. It's like no matter how high up you go with the DOC, you're met with the same answers and the same frustrations.
Enough ranting for now. Aren't you glad you asked? LOL
