Yes, he got 25 years. How much will it cost taxpapers? Lots, as is the case with most of the senior citizens in prisons. In this case, I'm sure the man has medical insurance coverage BUT the State won't bother with it, which I don't understand at all.
My brother has medical coverage and I sent the prison his medical insurance card and all info need to file claims to be reimbursed for all doctor calls and medications. They refuse to do it! WHY? State would not have to pay for any of his medical care - for heart disease and Parkinson's Disease, which includes quite a few meds. The pharmacy that supplies his meds could easily file a claim with the insurance company and the State wouldn't have to pay for any of it. When they take him to the specialist at OSU, a claim could be filed. Instead the State prefers to pay for it and then they complain that they have to operate on a low budget......
