Hi my husband is at Texarkana Regional Maintance and has been for 3 months now. In August he will be one year to his pe/te date. Have you heard if they are going to have a yearly kick-out soon. We heard in July then we heard in December. Just inmate talk, who do I contact to find out information.

Thanks

I am wondering too. My fiancee has heard talk that the backlog in county jail is low right now and they don't have any plans for an expanded epa right now. Last year they pulled one in November. My fiancee will be a year away in October. I am watching and listening to everything to try and find out. If you hear anything let us know!

I think the EPA kicks in every three months. You may be able to get information by calling the Post Prison Transfer Board and they can tell you.
Where's Joey? he knows the answers to questions like these. Joey, come out come out wherever you are

Here are the numbers I have for the Post Prison Transfer Board:
870-682-3850
870-267-6999
The second one is the one I used and spoke with a woman named Shery. She was very helpful and very nice.
Hope that helps.

Update:

I heard rumor that EPA is going into effect again tomorrow. They're supposed to be releasing 700 inmates. Anyone else hear anything about this?

It is true. They are kicking in the EPA or should I say they did. They are letting 700 inmates out. It was in the newspaper and on the news a couple of nights ago

Arkansas Board Of Corrections Votes To Release Prisoners Monday August 29, 2005 10:48pm Little Rock - At a special board meeting Monday, the Arkansas Board of Correction voted to invoke its emergency powers and release more than 700 prisoners.

The release to ease overcrowding in county jails could begin as early as next week.

The Emergency Powers Act advances the release date for inmates by up to 90 days and has been used every 90 days since November of 1998.

This time, prison officials say that as many as 628 males and 84 females could take advantage of the measure.

I have one question is it the expanded epa, one year kick out, or the epa, 90 day kick out.
