Hi it is Karen again looking for a littlle more help
I am doing a survey and hope that some of you will take it and if you know of anywhere else that I might post it please let me know.
This survey consists of 13 questions, I think the easiest way to answer would be to just number your answers accordingly and either e-mail them to me or post them here.
1. How long has your mother been in prison?
0 to 5yrs 5 to 10 yrs 10 to 15yrs 15+yrs
2. How long was your mother sentenced for?
0 to 5yrs 5 to 10yrs 10 to 15yrs 15+yrs
3. Was your mother convicted of a violent or non violent crime?
4. Is your mother serving time for a drug conviction?
5. Was your mother sentenced under the Mandatory Minimum laws?
6. While in prison how often did/do you visit her?
weekly monthly yearly
7. How often did/do you talk to your mother on the phone?
weekly monthly yearly
8. Did/does the prison your mother is in have a welcoming visitation area? Yes No
9. Was/is there a special visitation room or place for mothers of young children? Yes No
10. Where you very uncomfortable visiting your mother in prison?
Yes No
11. Who did/do you live with while your mother was in prison?
foster parents father grandparent other family
member
12. If your mother has been released from jail: Did you find it easy to reunite with her?
Yes No
13. Where there any programs that the prison offered that help to make your reunion easy?
Yes No
If you feel that you cannot answer any of these questions with a simple yes or no or with an answer I have provided please feel free to fill in with your own answer. If you have any more info you would like to share either about the programs offered in prisons, visitations or any thing else that you feel might be particularly helpful please e-mail it to me.
