Not that I am trying to justify his actions, but it sure does sound that he a extreme mental disease that included voices.

My ex husband was very bi-polar and from time to time heard voices so I know they do exist. People like this that committ crimes need to be in hospitals rather then prisons. They know right from wrong, but when the voices are there they cant control right from wrong. Its very differant from someone who knows and can control what they do. Those kind of people do it simply because they dont care about right from wrong, but I get from reading this blog that there was a part of him who didnt like what he was feeling.

While I dont feel bad for the criminals who know right from wrong and simply dont care I do feel for those who are to sick to control right from wrong

Yes, he is very sick! They deleted part of his web site for obvious reasons. Why he posted his feelings on the internet is beyond me. It's like he wanted to get caught? I agree that people with serious mental deficiencies should be in hospitals and not in prison, judges don't seem to feel that way. Also, defense attorneys would need to show the person was insane at the time of the crime and that's pretty hard to do. Duncan will never get out of prison but there are lots of others walking free who are just as sick as he is. We all need to pray for little Shasta and all the other children who have been molested/abused as she was.

I'm with you TNC. He is very disturbed and my heart went out to him. But he will be better off locked up for life, so he cannot hurt anyone again, not even himself. I just spent all this time reading his blog, and then the link to everything else. It is sad and scary.

I agree 100% that he and everyone else will be much better off in the end. I dont believe that with an illness like his there is any hope for recovery. Not now or 10 years from now
