There isnt much any one can do to ease our pain this is something we just have to learn to live with. Just be there for his Mom when she needs someone to talk to. I know when my son first was arrested and was sentenced I felt as though my life had ended but I have made it. It takes time to adjust and fill like you have something to live for. Once he gets to where he will be and she gets to visit she will start to fill better about things, the biggest thing is not knowing what to expect.
If he is a person that follows the rules and does what is expected of him he will not have any problems. If there is anything I can do to help just let me know.
