CALLING THE PRISON HAS BEEN A WASTE OF TIME AND I'M LEFT ON HOLD EVEN THOUGH ITS A LONG DISTANCE CALL
(AND THEIR HOLD MUSIC IS CRAPPY!)
Does anyone know what the policies for gate money entitlements are? My brother is due to be released soon and he was told that he isn't entitled to receive the $200 "Gate Money" when he leaves.

He was told it's because he has only been in old Folsom approx 8 weeks (he didn't have new charges added on and was only charged with a parole violation that put him back in). Supposidly someone said he's not eligible for gate money since it was a short-time in. Could this be true?? He hopes he has enough money accumulated from his current prison job ($1.10 per day) to purchase a bus ticket to make it home. I always thought that every inmate is provided with a one-way bus ticket back home. Are they not given a one-way bus ticket home either???

PLEASE HELP ME WITH THIS, I CANNOT GO PICK HIM UP (WORK REASONS) AND THERE IS NO ONE ELSE ABLE OR WILLING TO TRAVEL THE DISTANCE. I REALLY NEED SOME ANSWERS SOON. THANKS FOR ANY INSIGHT I MAY GET BACK!
