Question for all

I was supposed to be sent to a camp and I received my letter and it said I will be designated to Terre Haute - Federal Correctional Institute.

So I went to the BOP site and looked up the Terre Haute FCI

its listed as a medium security

So does this mean BOP decided to send me to a medium security instead of a camp

Terre Haute has a camp. My boyfriend has been there for the last 15 months. I'd be more than happy to help you out with any questions you have.

Many of the facilities listed by the BOP fail to include the fact that a "Camp" is also a part of their makeup. If you are indeed supposed to go to the FCI, it should be listed as such on your paper work. If on the other hand you are designated to a "CAMP"... you will go to the camp and it should be listed as such. Hope tis helps, if you have further questions I wll be glad to help.

Who told you that you were to go to a camp? If it was a request from the judge that could have been easily over ruled by the BOP; the judge may SUGGEST, but the BOP has the final say so.

A fellow PTO member who is in the Millington Camp had to first be processed thru the Memphis FCI, then moved over to the camp. Maybe your situation will be similar.

Judge was gonna recommend that I goto a camp. A friend of mine says that ppl heading to the camp get processed at the FCI. We will see

I got sentenced to 5 mnths in prison and 5 in halfway house.

Yes. If there is an issue of violence, SO, or gun offenses in your past, then they will send you to a medium If that is all clear, then you are more than likely going to the Camp. I have a client in FPC Terre Haute, who tells me that it is not a bad place at all. CLea, safe, laid back, no pressing issues or many a-holes on staff.

Maybe not many jerks on staff, but trust me...they still have some. And my guy is at the camp, but the BOP lists him at Terre Haute FCI, so I would assume that you're camp-bound.
