Well my husband went in front of the clemency board this moring. They asked him to have if parole packet ready in three weeks. He is not suppose to go up for parole until December. Hopefully this is really good news. I am so excited today!!:D

I am so excited his lawyer said that now his convening authority has to do something in the next three weeks they still have not acted, but he says no matter what they do it does not affect the parole board for the brig. I am trying not to get my hopes up to much.

Wow Honey....thats great! My son is serving time in Okinawa Japan (Marine corp). He got 3 years for covering for his Marines. LOng story....
Okinawa Generals aren't into clemency much..so we are not going to hold our breaths. I have heard that chances are much better for those serving in the states so I wish you and yours the very best wishes that clemency will be granted. It sounds very hopeful from what I read in your post.

not to be a downer but i went to a few clemany and parole boards and had cmpleted all assigned classes and received no DR's (disciplinary reports)
but the board year after year came back with. they didnt feel I had server enough time for my crimes. I did 4 years of an 8 year sentence from 1991 to 1995
i do wish him the best of luck at his clemency denial board though
stay strong he will get out and put it all behind him
remeber in the states the parole board and clemency board is only a recomending authority and although they hold weight your loved one will not actually meet the people that will release him. theparole board sends its recomendations to the Department of Defense at the pentagon. then a board is held their this is what takes time. I got news three months after my last parole board and was told I was granted parole jan of 95 and told my parole release date would be jul 11 of 1995. its all a waiting game
