BOISE -- An Idaho woman who was believed to be traveling with an Ada County Jail escapee has been arrested in Utah.
Tracey Lee Gonzales was taken into custody in a Wendy’s restaurant in Price, Utah, according to the Ada County Sheriff’s Office. Price is about 120 southeast of Salt Lake City.
Detectives believe Gonzales helped Harlan Hale flee Idaho after his June 18 escape from the jail. Her Toyota was found abandoned in California. Hale was arrested in southeastern Wyoming on June 27. Gonzales is being held on a $100,000 bond for a probation violation, and will be extradited.
Hale is in a Wyoming jail awaiting extradition to Idaho where he faces numerous felony charges including attempting to kill a police officer.
He is expected to be returned to Idaho later this week. Meanwhile, a grand jury has also indicted Hale on escape and robbery charges.
