Well Jason should be going crazy when he gets my letter I just sent off to him.
I called central records this am, and he got his credit for time served totaling 322 days. His release date has now changed from 11/30/06 to 4/19/06. Big difference. They also said he was up for parole sometime this month, which I know he won't get out since he has refused treatment. But he one his battle. I just hope he has learned. When he called me Sunday, he was not doing so well. Said Ventress was hot as hell, and nat's where terrible. He said he couldn;'t sleep without the sheet on because the nat's where so bad, but with the sheet he burning up. He also said that his friend (been in 16 yrs) warned him to be extra carefull because in the summer from all the heat, alot of attitudes come out and then the fights break out. I pray nothing happens to him, he has such a big mouth, but so far he been good at keeping it shut. But I'm sure when he gets my letter about his time change, he will feel much better. At this point I don't know how I feel about it, I hate him not getting treatment, and as much as I hate him being in prison and all the things everynight I worry about, it just seems like again the easy road with no lessoned learned. God I pray I'm wrong. But after 10 yrs of trouble and his eay roads, I am scared to death he get out and go right back to his highway from hell. Thanks for letting me vent and share the news.
God Bless,
Linda:confused:

Linda, I am glad that Jason will get out sooner than expected. I know you wanted him to have treatment...but it really wouldn't have done much good if he took the program just because he had to, he would need to want to get help, I believe.

The heat is unbearable. Joey was lucky when he was at Ventress. He worked in the office where it was air conditioned. It is miserable, what with the heat and bugs, and I feel for all the inmates crammed into such tight quarters with no air conditioning. Joey is working in the kitchen at Elba and he gets so hot and he never sleeps because of the heat.

We want our sons to learn from this, and to come home and make some changes in their lives. I pray they will....I don't want mine to go there again.
