hi, has anybody heard ANYTHING about some sort of lockdown at high desert? some sort of thing where they can't call? its my birthday today, AND my fiances and he hasnt even called! this is so unlike him because normally he goes to the extreme for our birthday, so i would expect at least a phonecall or something.

any information is reallyyyy appreciated!:(

How often does he get to call? My brother has been there since April and hasn't called any of us yet. We assumed they'd been on lockdown the whole time. But then again with him who knows could be pulling crap trying to get my parents to come visit..

umm hes been there since march. I only have a cell phone so he calls whenever somebody will 3-way him which pretty much is never!:( I think when they go to high desert (i may be wrong) they are on a lock down for the first few monthes, if i am remembering what he said in one of his letters correctly. Jason was on lockdown for 7 straight monthes between wasco and high desert, so your brother may just not be allowed to. Have you tried wrting and asking? You can call and get his info and write him and let him knwo to call, because you might not realize that your phone has some sort of block on it. i know thats what happened at my moms house. i dont know, just a thought!

High Desert doesnt allow phone calls or visits for the first 60 days they are there. They are a higher security than CCC, but the rules are the same. And if I remember correctly ( I could be wrong) phone calls are only on specific times and if hes a recent transfer he has to "earn" th phone calls. I live here near HD and Ive not heard of any lockdowns. I know ppl that work there and I work in a lawyers office and that stuff comes thru all the time. But ive not heard anything.

Have you got your call yet? I know that at the end of May or beginning of June there was a lockdown but it came off 2 or 3 weeks ago. My husband wrote me today and told me that he still doesn't have his phone calls back. You can always call the counselor and ask.

my husband wrote to me that there are a lockdown in the hdsp..his letter was dated on july 28.he works in the kitchen and he didn't know that he will working.he didn't tell what cause the lockdown.

this is driving me INSANE!!! i depend on his calls thats our communication.
i cant WAIT until all of this is out of the way.wow, im throwing a party just because it means the end of lockdowns,collect calls, letters, quick trips to the post office to get money orders and stamps,long lonely nights. etc.
